The wedding preparations were in full swing. Sarah and I decided to have a small, intimate ceremony with just close friends and family. We wanted our special day to be a simple yet joyful celebration of love.
While the planning took up more and more time, I made extra efforts to ensure Sarah and I continued connecting on a deep level. We went on spontaneous dates, spent evenings curled up talking. I wanted to fill her cup and remind her of our foundation before the wedding day festivities began.
Finally the big day arrived. As I waited at the altar, my heart filled with love and gratitude. I looked forward to spending the rest of my life by Sarah's side, growing old together.
When Sarah arrived on her father's arm, she took my breath away. Her radiant smile filled me with warmth and peace. In that moment, nothing else in the world mattered except for us.
As we said our vows and exchanged rings, our joy overflowed. Tears of happiness filled our eyes as we promised to love, cherish and support one another for the rest of our lives.
The reception was a joyful celebration of love as we danced, laughed and reminisced with friends and family. But the best part was being able to call Sarah my wife. My love and partner through all of life's adventures.
Later that night, as we lay in each other's arms, Sarah sighed contentedly. "This was the best day of my life," she said.
I kissed her softly and hugged her close. "Mine too," I replied. "I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend."
Sarah smiled and snuggled closer. "Our forever starts now," she whispered.
I smiled back, filled with love and gratitude. Our simple yet meaningful wedding day marked the beginning of the next beautiful chapter in our story together.
