Until Tomorrow- Part 7

Rouge landed in the hedgehogs' backyard with Silver and Blaze and set them down on the grass. Shadow had used his green Chaos Emerald to teleport himself into the backyard, and safely put all of the seven Chaos Emeralds away. Sonic and Knuckles were eagerly waiting to see Silver. "SILVER!" Sonic shouted with tears of joy in his eyes. He picked up Silver and spun with him. "I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY! I PROMISE FROM NOW ON, I WILL DO ALL I CAN TO PROTECT YOU! I WILL DO ALL I CAN TO PROTECT ALL OF YOU GUYS!" Tears flowed down Sonic's eyes as he continued to hug his little brother. Silver smiled at Sonic with tears of joy in his eyes. "I missed you, too, brother", he said, sweetly. "Thank you so much for caring for me!" The two brothers then hugged each other, and Shadow joined in, too. "You guys risked your lives to save me", Silver said to his brothers through tears. "You are the best brothers anyone could ever ask for. I love you guys, I never want to leave you guys!" Shadow and Sonic smiled at Silver, still hugging him. "We're just SO glad you're okay!" Sonic said. "Now where can I find that freak Eggman so that I can force that cheese down his throat?" Shadow, Sonic and Silver all laughed. "Drowning in the depths of the ocean, hopefully", Shadow replied. Sonic smiled. "Even better", he said. When the brothers were done hugging, Silver gave Rouge a big hug and thanked her for helping save him. Then, Silver looked over to see Blaze distancing herself from everyone. He then walked to Blaze and hugged her. "Blaze, what's wrong?" He asked. "Didn't I tell you everything was going to be okay?" Blaze smiled at Silver. "Yes, you did", she replied, "and it is all okay. Thank you Silver." She returned Silver's hug. "Then what's wrong?" Silver questioned. Blaze looked at Silver in his eyes. "It's just that I don't want to leave here", she said. "In my world, I am a princess with responsibilities, and I have no friends. I know that the time with Dr. Eggman was miserable, but being with you made it all worth it. You are the first person that made me really feel happy. I don't want to leave you, I want to keep living my life to the fullest with you!" Silver looked in Blaze's eyes with sadness. "Well, there is a nearby orphanage, if you want to stay there!" He replied. "My brothers and I have stayed there, once, and the people there love caring for children that have no homes!" "Really?" Blaze questioned. Silver nodded. "And you can stop by our house anytime! Except for when we're sleeping. Because my brothers and I get very cranky when we get less sleep." Blaze giggled. "Deal", she said. Silver hugged his new best friend and started playing with his brothers, Rouge, and Knuckles in their backyard.
Soon, daylight began running out. "Shadow! Sonic! Silver! Time to get ready for bed!" "What!?" Sonic replied. "I think after all we've been through we deserve a-" Shadow covered Sonic's mouth. "Coming, Mommy!" He interrupted. Silver helped Blaze to the orphanage and stood outside the door. "Thank you, Blaze", he told the lavender cat. "For what?" Blaze replied. Silver smiled at her. "For being my friend." Blaze's eyes shined with tears as the two new friends hugged each other. "Until tomorrow, Silver", Blaze told the hedgehog as she waved goodbye, entering the orphanage. Silver waved to Blaze. "Until tomorrow", he replied. He then returned home to his house where everyone had left except for his two brothers. They all three cleamed themselves up and went into their beds. Mephiles and Vanilla kissed their three children goodnight and shut the door. "Guys", Silver told Shadow and Sonic. "Yes?" They replied. Silver went to each of them and gave them both a big hug. "No matter what happens, you are always going to be my heroes. I love you guys!" The three hedgehogs did a group hug. "We love you, too, Silver", Shadow said. Sonic nodded, his eyes shining with tears. "You really think that I'm a hero?" He asked Silver. Silver nodded. "Yes", he replied. "The greatest there ever was." The three hedgehogs hugged each other once more, and went into their beds. Silver laid on his side and looked at his sleeping brothers. "The greatest there ever was", he whispered to himself as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
