One night

Chapter 16: I'm sorry.

After Vance kicked Y/n and Robin out, they went back to Robins. 

"I can't believe he would do that, especially to you. Who knows what could've happened if I didn't wait for you. You would've been walking the streets alone and he didn't even think twice about it." Y/n looked down at her shoelaces while walking, she had tuned out on Robin's speech a while ago, she felt bad for Vance. Robin and her shouldn't have gotten that close, especially while Vance and his dad were arguing. Vance was really going through it, and she felt like she was just making the situation worse. 

When they made it back to Robins house, his mom looked very worried and immediately started cooking. Y/n sat down on the couch and was followed by Robin. Y/n could feel Robin's stare but refused to look up. Shortly after they sat down, Robin's mom came into the living room and handed Y/n a banana split sundae. Y/n thanked her, "You didn't have to, but thank you ma'am." Robin's jaw dropped, "We never get ice cream!" His mom hushed him and moved around Y/n to look at her face better, she could tell something was wrong with Y/n. "¡Ay dios mío! Estás bien honey?" (Oh my god! Are you okay honey?) Y/n gave her best smile and nodded; she honestly didn't know why she was feeling so upset about this whole Vance thing. She just wishes she could still be with him and help him through whatever him and his dad were arguing about. 

Robin craned his neck to try and get a better look at Y/n's face, his mom kissed her forehead and walked back to her room. "Why are you so upset? Are you sure you're okay?" Y/n finally met Robin's eyes, "Yeah, I'm good." She looked back down after just seconds, not being able to keep up the act much longer. Robin didn't believe a word she said, he knew why she was so upset. It was Vance, obviously. Robin felt selfish because he wished she wasn't upset about Vance. He wishes she would let him go and see what's really good for her. 

Y/n got up quickly and quickly walked to the bathroom, she shut and locked the door and sighed. Robin followed shortly after, he knocked and when he got no response, he leaned against the wall next to the door. "Y/n...? You don't have to tell me what's going on with you and Vance, but I know somethings going on. I'm not gonna be mad, I just don't like seeing you upset, and I want us to have good communication." Y/n just slightly opens the door and peeks her head around to look at Robin. He turns his head and they make eye contact for just a second before Y/n looks to the ground. "Do you mind if I take a quick shower?" Robin nodded, "I don't mind at all, wait right here for a sec." Robin walked into his room and came back a moment later with a shirt and towel in hand. "Here. Sorry I don't have any shorts or pants for you to borrow, I don't think you'd fit into any of them." Y/n smiled at him and thanked him then closed the door and a few minutes later Robin heard the water turn on, which he took as his que to go back to his room.

20 minutes later, Robin had fallen asleep on the couch while waiting for Y/N. She got out of the bathroom and put her shirt into her backpack then placed her backpack into Robin's room. She walked around the house, trying to find Robin. When she made it to the living room, she heard soft snores and she looked down to a sleeping Robin. She sighed and thought for a second before going to the door, slipping her shoes on and exiting the house as quietly as possible. 

Y/n breathed heavily as she looked around anxiously every 5 seconds, she practically jogged to Vance's house and by the time she made it she was shaking in terror. 

When she made it to Vance's house, she stood in front of the door, with her hand raised up. She looked around once more and started panicking from being out so late. She knocked on the door without thinking and waited for a minuted before the door flung open, it was his dad. "Who the hell is at my front door at 2 am!?" His eyes landed on Y/N, and his facial features softened considerably. "Oh? What are you doing here so lady sweety?" Y/N grimaced and looked to the ground, "I need to speak with Vance." Vance's dad's face dropped and he rolled his eyes, "VANCE! GET OUT HERE!" She heard a door open almost instantly, "What the hell do you want now?" Vance walked up to the door and his face, just like his fathers, softened. "Oh." They all stood there for an eternity before Vance's dad pushed the door open for Y/N and walked away without another word. Y/N stepped inside and Vance shut the door behind her, he trailed her to his room and shut the door behind them. 

Y/N sat down on his bed and he sat in his desk chair, facing her. "So.. Why're you here so late?" Y/N looked up to him and shrugged, "I guess I felt like an urge to talk to you ;To apologize." Vance crossed his arms and spun he chair back and fourth, "It's fine." Y/N folded her arms against her chest and leaned on the tops of her knees. "It's not, I feel really bad. Me and Robin aren't like dating.. or anything. I don't know, it's nothing I guess." Vance got up and sat next to her, "He likes you, a lot." Y/N nodded slightly but didn't meet his gaze. "I don't know. We're just friends, I don't think I would ever, like you know." Vance rolled his eyes, "Okay well if that's all you came here to say, you can go back to his house now. I believe you, no need to feel guilty." Y/N finally looked at him, "I don't wanna go back to his his house, Vance.." He looked at her and their eyes locked. "Well, you can stay here if you want. I can't believe you walked all that way by yourself at 2 am in the first place." Y/N laughed a bit, "I basically ran." Vance shook his head with a smile on his face too. 

He pushed himself onto the bed more and laid down, his arm spread out for her. Y/N laid down next to him, with her head on his chest. Next thing she knows, she's waking up with sunlight peeking through Vance's curtains.
