A Young Dreamer!

Athena's POV

I quickly scrubbed the final plate in the sink, then rinsed all of the soap off. Finally, I stacked it with the other dishes to dry.

"Okay! I'm done!" I excitedly said as I ran to the living room. "Mama, dada, I finished all of my chores! Can I go outside now?!"

Mama was laying her head on Dada's lap while they were watching tv together, but she sat up when I ran into the room.

"Hmmm..." She smiled. "You did all of the dishes?"

"Yup! Every last one!" I said giving them a thumbs up.

"And you fed all of the Pokémon?" Mama asked.

"Yeah! Everyone is eating in the backyard! Pleeeaaassseee can I go now? All of my friends have already gone out!" I whined.

"I don't know..." Mama sighed. "It makes so worried when you kids go to Chicory Woods without any adults there."

"B-But I go there all the time!" I cried. "And Dada said that's where he caught his first Pokémon!"

"But Athena, you're too young to have your first Pokémon." Mama said. "You're only 6."

"It'll be okay Circe." Dada smiled. "Eevee goes with her every time. And if you're that worried, I'm sure Charizard and Aerodactyl wouldn't mind going as well."

"Yeah! And they're all super strong!" I said as I pumped my fists.

Mama sighed again.

"Fine... but be back by sunset okay?" She asked. "Aunt Desiree is coming by later tonight."

My eyes lit up when she gave me permission.

"I will! Thank you!" I excitedly said as I ran outside to our backyard.

"And please don't be too reckless!" I heard mama say as I left the house.

There were lots of Pokémon in our backyard. Both mama's, dada's, grandma's and grandpa's Pokémon we're here too. Jolteon, Cinderace, Floatzel, Excadrill, Dragonite, Aerodactyl, Haxorus, Greninja, Simisage, Marowak, Florges, and Salazzle were all my grandpa's Pokémon.

Grandma had Delphox, Sylveon, and Sealeo.

Alolan Ninetales, Emolga, Primarina, Quilava, Chingling, and Oricorio were mama's Pokémon.

And finally, Eevee, Donphan, Kricketune, Charizard, Hitmontop, Dracovish, Gastrodon, Alolan Sandslash, Meganium, and Dragapult were dada's Pokémon.

They were all eating happily together and my heart burst with joy seeing all of them. I really love Pokémon, and seeing all of them makes me so excited to become a Pokémon Trainer!

"Hi everybody!" I smiled.

All 31 Pokémon in the backyard greeted me happily as they all ran to me, I laughed as they all began to crowd me, smothering me with love attention.

"Kreck!"

"Aero!"

"Quila!"

"Sylvee!" All the Pokémon cried out with joy.

"Vee!" Dada's Eevee then jumped up on my head.
