Aanan : Brother let's go home now. Shall we?.... I feel tired. (yawns)

Bali : He is speaking as if he has done a lot of work.

Manan : Hmm. (fumble) Just sitting all day killing flies.

Aanan : Really? Who corrected those accounting errors?

Manan : It was not such a big task.

Aatreya : Don't fight like kids. You can go. I will be late tonight. I need to finish some work.

Mithun : If I go home, I will have to see her... Brother, what work are you referring to? Let me help you with that.

Aatreya takes a good look at him.

Aatreya : Okay.

The day comes to an end. It was a hard day for Dhani. She kept thinking about Mithun all day.

She kiss Bali good night in his room. Aanan himself comes to her and steals kisses from her lips forcefully. Then, Manan comes into her room.

Manan : Are you all right?

Dhani : Huh? Husband?

He embraces her gently and coheres her head onto his chest.

Manan : Would you like to tell me anything?........ Should I know something?

She wraps her hands around him and kisses on his chest.

Dhani : I would let you know...... but not today.

He pulls back and cups her face.

Manan : What is it that's bothering you? (sigh) ... Should I sleep here?

Dhani : No. Not today.

Manan : (sad) Okay. But if you need me, just call me. Okay?

Dhani : (smiles) Humm.

Manan leaves her room. She starts adorning herself for the night. She wears a beautiful dress and adorns herself with jewellery. Her stola gives an impression like stars are placed on it. She is looking beautiful, but sad as well.

Dhani : I did not know that he was suppressing this much anger in his heart. Will he come to my room tonight?

The maids had left a basket of flowers in her room on the table. She picks up the basket and places the flowers on her new bed one by one making a beautiful design on the bed. The night has darkened. She looks outside the window. It has started to rain.

Dhani : How did it come to be like this? He doesn't even listen to me now. How do I tell him that he is completely misunderstanding me?

Determined, she stands up from her bed and lights a dia. She goes to Mithun's room with the dia burning in her hand.

Servant : Queen?

The servant lights up some mashals in the gallery.

Dhani : Thank you. Can you call Prince Mithun for me? It's late. He must be hard asleep right now.

Servant : Queen, Prince Mithun is not in his room. He did not return home today.

Dhani : He did not return home? Oh! I thought he came late with husband after the dinner.

Servant : Chief returned but Prince Mithun did not come.

Dhani : Do you know where is he now?

Servant : The other servants were talking about him sitting near the lake in the evening. He looked sad.

She gives an eye to the servant.

Servant : They were talking like that, not me.

Dhani : Can you open the gates for me.

Servant : Will you go outside in this rain?

Dhani : Please, open the gates.

The servant opens the gates for her. Everything is dark outside the house. She covers herself with a heavy cloak and takes a lantern in her hand.

Servant : Shall I come with you Queen?

Dhani : No need. It's not far.

Dhani leaves the house with a lantern in her hand which is the only light source in this rainy night. She reaches the lake. Her eyes search for Mithun. In this darkness he is nowhere seen.

Dhani : What if he is gone form here? The rain is so thick.

She wanders around the lake with the lantern in her one hand and her other hand is covering its top to protect it from the rain and wind.

As she was walking by, her eyes fell on a figure leaning his back and head on a stone. He has long hair. She knows that it's her husband who is leaning on the stone facing up towards the clouds. He is drenched in rain completely. His eyes are closed and his chest is breathing softly. She comes closer to him. Her heart feels guilty towards him. Tears roll down from her eyes.

"I am sorry" she speaks softly not intending for him to hear. But, he heard the sound. He immediately springs up, takes his bow in his hand and aims his arrow in her direction. He realises that it's her who is standing there with a lantern in her hand, soaking in the rain. She is shivering. Tears are rolling down from her eyes. He lowers his bow. A sudden rage arise in his heart when he sees tears in his wife's eyes.

"What happened, Wife? Why are you crying?" He wanted to ask but didn't. He held his emotions inside is heart.

Mithun : What are you doing here in this rain? Is it thrilling to you to wander at dark nights?

She wipes her tears.

Dhani : I was looking for you. You didn't come to my room.

He takes a good look at her. She is ornamented with beautiful jewelleries and her dress looks similar to her wedding dress.

Mithun : Were you waiting for me?

Dhani : Yes.

He turns his head away.

Mithun : I told you not to wait. I won't come.
