When Tauriel and Legolas came into the throne room, Thranduil stood up from his chair. He was happy and relieved to see Legolas again.
"Legolas!" said Thranduil.
"Hello ada (father)." replied Legolas.
Thranduil walked down the throne steps to be eye to eye with Legolas. Legolas took a step forward to his father, while Tauriel remained behind him.
"I need to speak with you father." said Legolas.
"What is it Legolas?" asked Thranduil.
"I need to talk to you about my future." replied Legolas.
"What do you mean, you are suppose to be the future leader of Mirkwood and unit one of the kingdoms." explained Thranduil.
"Father, I will take the throne, but only if Tauriel is by my side." said Legolas.
Legolas could tell that his father disliked that idea. He looked at Tauriel and then back at Legolas.
"Legolas, she is a lowly silvan elf." explained Thranduil.
"I do not care, I love her and I believe that she can do it." replied Legolas as he looked back at Tauriel.
Thranduil walked back up to his throne chair. He sat down and thought for a bit. He wasn't pleased with Legolas's request.
"Fine," said Thranduil. "You may marry."
Legolas turned to Tauriel and pick her up in his arms. They were both happy that they could both be with each other.
