Laurence POV:

It feels like it has been forever since I had last stepped foot on the surface, but there was nothing left for me up there. In reality, I think it has just been about over three years sine I had returned to the Nether.

I scoffed and spun around in my chair, getting up and walking towards my office's window.

It looked over the large lava ocean, the striders' croaks could even be heard from up here. On the other side of the ocean, the faint shadow of Shad's fortress could barely be made out through the fog.

My eyebrows furrowed.

Shad was growing stronger as each day passed, and the amount of Shadow Knights under his control was increasing as well.

If we didn't come up with a more realistic plan soon, our little rebellion would be wiped out.

I sigh, rubbing my temples.

"I need to schedule another strategy meeting as soon as possible..."I turn on my heel, and made my way to the door of my office.
"But before I can do that, I need to find that idiot."

Exiting the office, I walked down the dark hallways dimly lit by redstone torches. I would pass by some Shadow Knights who would salute me as I briskly passed by. I turned a corner, and began my assent up the stairs to the roof of the strong-hold. When I reached the top, I looked over all the faces of the Knights standing guard, but not finding the one I was looking for.

My eyebrows furrowed more, my patience wearing thin.

"Has anyone seen that idiot Zenix!?"

Zenix POV:

I sat atop the glowstone cluster hanging from the roof of the Nether. The view was unparalleled and thankfully not many knew about this little view spot of mine.

The lava bubbled far beneath me, the warmth rising upwards to the roof of the Nether, almost overwhelming my senses.

I sigh rolling onto my stomach.

I raise the pair of binoculars to my eyes, looking out toward Shad's Fortress.

"Two... four... five, to the East."

I jotted the number next to a time.

"Three... five... eight..?"

My eyes squinted while I zoomed in closer.
"No, nine. Nine to the West."

I again jotted down the number next to a time.

I looked through the binoculars towards the Southern entrance. "Hmm it looks like there's only three guards..." I jotted down the number and time. "It seems like Shad doubts anyone would try to swim through the Lava Ocean to try and infiltrate the fortress."

I placed the binoculars down again, and rolled onto my back. I frowned. "I really want a nap."

Laurence POV:

I paced back and forth on the roof of the Rebellion strong-hold. No one had seen Zenix since this morning. He was probably off somewhere slacking off again.
