Slytherin

Divination

I stayed awake thinking of my parents and what they would say. It has been four years since I got sorting into my house. And yet, my parents (who are half-blood) don't know that I'm a Slytherin. All my family members are Ravenclaw. "Kas? Are you in there?" a cold voice came from the girl's dorm. "Who is that, Kas?" asked Pansy, a Slytherin girl. "I...don't know." I said opening the door. "Draco? CLOSE YOUR EYES!" I shouted, shutting the door and getting my bathrobe on. "Why'd scream at Malfoy?" asked Pansy. "I don't have anything on the top of me!" I said opening the door once again. "Sorry, what do you want anyway?" I asked. "Classes, duh! Did you look at your watch?" asked Draco. I looked down. My watch read '9:15'. "Oh. Why did you come to get just me, not the rest of the girls? And, why are you alone?" I asked, watching Draco turn pink. "Well, meet you in Divination." Draco left as soon as he could. "No fair. Draco picks you, not me. You don't look any prettier." Pansy said getting her robes on. "I'd rather have another boy like me." I replied. "You're not a Ravenclaw. Or Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. He's the hottest Slytherin boy! C'mon! I bet you 1 galleon that he asks you to the yule ball. It's in one month." Pansy said as she and I walked out the common room. "I told you! Draco and I-Draco! Oh, are we early, again?" I asked Draco. "Yeah. Today we are doing 'Soulmates'. Oh, we better go up." Draco led me and Pansy up to Divination. Professor Trelawney was already making her grand entrance once we made our way to our seats. "The letter in your cup, made of leaves, is the last name of your Soul Mate." Trelawney said. " An 'M'? What did you get, Malfoy?" I asked "A-An 'D'. What is your last name, Kas?" He asked. "Diggory. You know that! My cousin is Cedric, remember?" I answered. "You got an 'M'. My last name, Malfoy, starts with an 'M'. So, it looks like we w-" "Shut It." "Kas, I-" "Hey, Pansy what did you get?" Really, I didn't care what she got. I just wanted Draco to shut up. I do like him, in a friendly way, but do I want him to be my 'Soul-Mate'? "Potter, who'd you get?" asked Malfoy, getting ready to tease Harry. Yes, the 'Harry Potter'. Malfoy really hates him. I hated that he hated him. "What do you care, Malfoy?" asked Harry. "Sorry. Was it that bad?" asked Draco. Harry turned red and looked at me. "Stop it, Draco." I said to Draco. "Kas, what are you doing?" He asked me. "I said, 'Stop It'." I told him. "Fine." Draco left the class right away. "Thank you." Harry said to me quietly. "No problem." I replied. "Class,Class, I will come to your table to look at your tea leaves." Said Professor Telanwney. "Pansy, you got a 'N'. Quite interesting. Draco, you got a-" "D" "No. Kas, not a 'D' but an 'G'. Kas, you got an 'M' or 'W'. That is quite sad." Professor Trelanwny's smile faded. "What does a 'W' or 'M' mean, Professor?" I asked. "Means, well, the tea can not be chosen. You have a long enough life to be loved by a Soulmate.Next! Ron, you have a 'G'. Strange, for a pure-blood. Harry, you have a 'G'. Neville, you got a 'A'. Look at the time. Dismiss!"

"Well? What did you really get?" asked Draco. "I knew you wouldn't leave. You just hid beneath the ladder." I replied. He always does this. "Do you care?" I asked. "Yes." He answered. "Fine. It was a 'W' or 'M'." I told him. "Oh." he said, a little disappointed. "And as for you. You lied! You really got a G! How come you said 'D'? The first word that came to mind was 'Diggory'? You are so-Cedric! What are you doing around here?" I asked. My cousin, Cedric, was very charming and handsome. He is in his sixth year at Hogwarts. He was 2 years older than me. I was 14, he was 16. He was in Hufflepuff. He also plays for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team as the team Captain and a seeker. "Going to classes. Where did you come from?" He asked. "Divination." replied me and Pansy. "What are we going to do there?" He asked. " Soul Mates." Me and Pansy said together. "Cool! Kas, who'd you get?" Cedric asked. " Well, I don't have to explain because you probably did it before but, 'W' and 'M'. Stupid Draco thought it was 'Malfoy'!" I yelled. "Wow. I remember my first time doing that!" He said, trying to take my mind off the fact. And, as usual, it worked. I like Cedric. He was the only person who knew that I was put in Slytherin. And, he didn't seem to care or mind. Cedric was the best! "Oh! Who'd you get?" asked Pansy. " A 'C'. Still don't know who it is!" He said. "Oh, I better get going. Cho, my girlfriend is waiting for me. Bye, Kas!" He said running towards Cho Chang. Cho was a Fifth year Ravenclaw girl. "Stupid? Why did you have to call me stupid?" asked Draco. "Pansy, did you get a date yet for the Yule Ball?" I asked Pansy. "No. Did you? Oh! I have to go to another class. Bye, Draco, Bye Kas!" Pansy said running off. "Well, did you?" Draco asked. "Not yet. I might go alone." I replied. "Kas, would you like to go to the Yule Ball with, Me?" Draco asked. I thought. I wanted to say yes but, if I said no he would ask Pansy. And, she had a huge crush on Draco. "Draco, I'm sorry. No." I said. I felt as If I would cry. He is so mean to everyone, except me. "No? Are you sure?" He asked. Now he looked like he wanted to cry. "Yes. But, If you are there alone, I'll dance with you." I said and took off to the girl's bathroom.
