"What did I just do? I'll tell you! You turned down Draco when he was asking you to the Yule Ball, that's what!" I yelled at myself. I was in the girl's bathroom. Crying of course. No one was there, so I was yelling at myself. But, I think I did the right thing. What on earth would my parents say if they found out that I went with a Malfoy to the Yule Ball. Besides, Pansy will go with him now! "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" I yelled. "Hello? Is anyone here? Myrtle, is that you?" called Hermione Granger. Hermione was a fourth year Griffndor. She alway had her head in a book. "Oh, it's not me. It's her! Been talking to herself for 20 minutes." said Myrtle coming out of a stall. Myrtle was a girl ghost who haunted the girl's bathroom. She is always sad and extremely nosy. She used to be a fourth year Ravenclaw. Before she died. "Who is she, Myrtle?" asked Hermione. "Oh, you won't like her! She's a Slytherin." Myrtle said with an evil grin. "Oh, well, still, she sounds sad." Replied Hermione. Hermione started to walk near the stalls. She came to mine and knocked. "Hello? Are you okay?" Hermione asked. I wanted to answer but she could make fun of me. But, I was feeling brave. "I'm-I'm fine, I think." I answered. "Oh, well, I'm Hermione Granger and you are?" She asked. "I'm-I'm Kas Diggory." I answered. Hermione went quiet. "Are you related to Cedric Diggory by any chance?" She asked. "Cedric? The handsome one? Oooo! I go to the boy's bathroom just to see him!" Shouted Myrtle. "Yeah. I'm his-his cousin." I said. "Would you mind coming out of the stall? If, of course, you would like to talk about what happened." She added. Hermione was the type of girl that she wanted to help or know what happened. So, I opened the door. And told her everything. "Draco? Are you sure Draco Malfoy asked you to the Yule Ball?" She asked in shock. "Yeah. He can be really mean to people who aren't in Slytherin. Sorry-not mean-hatred towards any one except me and Pansy." I told Hermione. "Did you say 'Yes' or 'No'?" Hermione asked. "Might as well say yes! I mean look at your hair! Who else would ask you! Hahahahahahahahahaha!" yelled Moaning Myrtle. "MYRTLE! I could say the same about you! Sorry about her. She did the same to me in my second year." She said, "Anyway, did you say 'Yes' or 'No'! I need to know!" Hermione said. "I said 'No'. And that's why I'm in here crying. Should I have said yes?" I whaled. "I-I don't know.OH MY GOD! I don't know the answer to something! But, he's nice to you but." Hermione was doing some serious thinking. Then she cleared her throat and said, "You did the right thing." "I did?" I asked. "You did! First, if he was being mean and it bothered you, why go with him? Then, you knew if you said 'No', Draco would ask Pansy. That would make her day. So, in my opinion, you did the right thing!" A smile grew on Hermione's face. I started to cry. Hermione didn't laugh. She just held my hand. Why was I crying though? I was so happy that someone really cared this much about me! Draco or Pansy didn't ever do anything like this. Hermione barely knew who I was! And still she was so nice to a stranger, a Slytherin. Hermione hugged me. I hugged her back. I had a friend. A real friend.
