"Wake up Kas! Wake! Up!" shouted Pansy. I opened my eyes. "We get to go to Hogsmeade today!". I looked at my clock. It read 8:31. It must be the 23rd. My birthday. Two days 'till the Yule Ball. I sat up and got my bathrobe on. "Pansy, I know! Today we get to go shopping for our Yule Ball Dresses!" I said. I was as excited as she was. "And...Happy Birthday!" yelled Pansy. She held out a navy blue cake covered in fake purple flowers. "Thanks, Pansy!" I said taking the cake from her hands and setting it on the nightstand. "That's not all!" She said reaching into her pocket. Pansy pulled out green snake earrings. "Wow, I love them!" I said hugging her. "I got to get my money and get dressed! Draco said that he wants to meet you up in the common room." She said running towards her trunk to get her coins. I hurried to get on my green sweater, black tights and my purple jacket that was my mothers. I left the girl's room and went to the Slytherin common room. Draco was there in his black jacket. "Good morning." He said to me, "Hey!" I said. He pointed to the seat next to him. I sat in it. "Happy birthday, Kas." He said holding out a big box. "Draco! You shouldn't have!" I said, staring at the box. "Well, aren't you going to open it?" He asked, breaking out in a smile. I ripped off the wrapping paper and opened the box. I first pulled out a Ravenclaw scarf. I haven't ever gotten any Ravenclaw clothing. I wrapped it around me and It was so big it covered my mouth. Draco let out a huge laugh. "And, here is the last one." Draco said turning pink and handing me a small box. I opened it. "-gasp!- Draco, it's beautiful!" I said. I blushed like crazy at the time. It was a ring. It had a Raven and a Snake on it. It had a purple jewel inside it. "Do you like it?" He asked (still pink). "Draco! I love it!" I said, giving him a big hug. "Thanks so much." I said (still hugging him). "Your-Your welcome Kas." He said. I let go of him and started to head upstairs. "Kas, could you give this to Pansy?" He asked. I turned around. "Okay." He handed me a note. Once I was far enough away from him I opened it. I read it.
Dear Pansy,
Would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?

I folded it back up. I was so happy for Pansy! I rushed up the stairs to find Pansy waiting on her bed. "There you are, ready to go to Hogsmeade?" She asked me. "Yeah, just read this first." I said, handing her the note from Draco. "KAS! Draco asked me to the Yule Ball! OMG! I need to pick out a perfect dress!" She said getting off her bed and heading down the stairs. "Wait up!" I said,following after Pansy.

"Wow! Where should we go first?" asked Pansy. "Well, shouldn't we be getting dresses for the Yule Ball?" I asked. "You're right!" she said. "Then we should go to Gladrags Wizardwear." I said. We walk along the streets of Hogsmeade looking for the right store. Hogsmeade was a wonderful place. Snow falling everywhere. It looked too good to be real. "Kas, look!" called Pansy. We were at Gladrags Wizardwear. We opened the door to see many beautiful dresses, shoes, necklaces and clothing. Pansy looked so happy. She started to run around looking for the perfect dress. I looked as well. Just, slower. After a while, Pansy came rushing towards me. "Kas! I found the perfect dress!" she said. Pansy was holding a long pale pink dress. It was a long dress with spaghetti straps. "Wow! Go try it on!" I replied. "I will!" she said, running towards the dressing room. "Psst!" said a girl from behind me. I turned around and saw Hermione. "Hey!" I said hugging her. "Happy birthday!" She said, "Thanks. What are you doing here?" I asked. "Looking for a Yule Ball dress. Are you doing the same thing?" Hermione asked. "Yup. Haven't found one yet." I said sadly. "Good. Follow me." she said and led me across the store. Once we stopped, I saw the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. It was a huge dark purple dress with a black trim at the bottom. It came with a silk black shawl. "Hermione, this is amazing!" I said looking up at the gorgeous dress. "I thought you would like it! I also got you shoes to match!" She said, pulling out a pair of black high heels. "Thanks! Can I help you?" I asked, still star struck at the dress. "Not at the moment. I have to get going." Hermione said and took off. I took the dress to the counter to get it. Pansy was right behind me. "I found a pair of white shoes to match my dress and I got a pearl necklace and earrings to tie it all together!" She said happily. "Your dress is awesome Kas! Where did you find it?" Pansy asked me. "Oh! A friend of mine helped me find it." I said. "Well, it's going to be a great ball!" said Pansy. It was the truth!

"Well, I wonder what I should do with my hair," said Pansy. We got back to our room after we came from Hogsmeade. "Why not a pony tail?" I suggested. Pansy looked like I had just had a bomb and killed her. "A ponytail? This is a once and a lifetime advent! I cannot wear a ponytail." She said, I looked at her. She was telling the truth. Not everyone got to attend the Yule Ball. "What about a bun? It would look very nice." I said. Pansy looked in the mirror. She put her hair in a bunn. "Oh yeah! It looks awesome!" Pansy said with a smile. "What about you? What are you doing with your hair?" She asked me. "Might as well curl it." I said. "Well, sweet dreams!" She said turning off the light. "Sweet dreams indeed."
