Adriane groaned as she slowly woke up and blinked tiredly, she had forgotten about her dream, not even realizing that she had dreamt anything. At the moment all she wanted to know was where she was, and why did she feel so terrible?
She groaned when she remembered what happened down by the lake. At least Fluer hadn't taken her to Madam Pomphry and instead took her to the ROR. She would preferably not risk going to the school healer, only to wind up being potioned and controlled again.
Madam Pomfrey had to have known about the abuse and potions. Adriane had been in the hospital wing enough times for her to find out, and yet she didn't do anything to help Adriane. That had to go against her healers' oath.
So no, Adriane did not trust Madam Pomfrey at all, not as far as she could throw her-hmm scratch that she could probably throw her far if she really tried but, the point still stood.
And even if Madam Pomfrey somehow didn't know about what the headmaster had been doing to her, Adriane still wouldn't trust her to protect Adriane while she was sick. She never had before.
Just at that moment, the door opened, and Fluer walked in and looked relieved when noticing that she was awake. "Harry, you're awake! I was so worried when you just passed out and not allowing me to take you to the school healer!"
Adriane smiled at her sheepishly, "How long have I been out?"
Fluer sighed and rubbed her nose. "About a day or so, what have you been doing that made you so exhausted?"
Adriane slowly sat up. A day? She had been out for an entire day at, least it wasn't any longer than that. Fluer gently made her lie back down. Even though Adriane could push past her with little effort, she allowed herself to be pushed back down on the bed with a sigh.
"I've been training for this tournament and, trying to avoid my old friends and headmaster. They've been trying to corner me to force me to be friends with them again." Fluer sighed when getting that answer. "Harry, you need to rest as well you can't, as the English say, keep burning the candle at both ends. You have already worked yourself to the point of getting sick and passing out!"
Adriane slumped down and nodded, "I know, but there just seems to be so much to do in a day with so little time to do it." She grumbled half-heartedly while Fluer gently messed up her hair. "Trust me, I know how you feel but, you must take breaks, or else you'll just wind up getting sicker."
"Fine, I'll take a break." She snorted softly, "Not like I really have a choice, do I?" Fluer smirked, "Nope!"
Adriane settled in to go back to sleep and, despite having slept for an entire day, she felt tired. It must have been her fever that made her feel so tired but, Adriane wasn't going to complain.
Fluer was right. Adriane did need the rest. She had been neglecting her health while trying to get stronger. Adriane wouldn't get stronger if she kept this up, she would wind up getting weaker.
If that happened then, Adriane wouldn't be able to protect herself or those she loved. She would lose and probably wind up being controlled by the headmaster again.
Adriane would never allow that to happen if she could help it. She refused to allow herself to be controlled again.
It took a couple of days, but soon enough, Adriane was better. She was lucky that she managed to convince Fluer that she would be fine being taken care of by Dobby and Winky.
Adriane's sneezes were strong enough to knock down the stone wall that separated her bedroom and the living room in the ROR. She didn't want to think about what Fluer's reaction would have been if she saw that. Luckily she didn't or, else Adriane would have had a problem on her hands.
