Adriane lay in bed for several hours after she finished sobbing. She felt a bit lighter after she let it all out. She supposes that she had been holding back more emotions about this entire thing than even she knew. This just proved to her that she needed to finish sorting everything in her mind's library.

She sat up slowly, so she would not get lightheaded, she was a bit dehydrated due to all that crying and knew that if she were to sit up fast she would get some vertigo. She called for Dobby to bring her a cup of water that she drank in a few minutes to help rehydrate her.

She then sat crisscrossed on her bed and went into her mindscape to get to work sorting her third-year memories. She couldn't believe how much she missed or how bad the adults were at keeping her safe from who they thought was a crazy mass murderer who had a hand in killing her entire family.

The only adult that had tried to tell her anything was Mr. Weasley when he told her about Sirius escaping and how it was assumed he would be coming after her. Other than him no one else was forthcoming about the danger she faced. They didn't explain why she wasn't allowed to go to Hogsmeade, besides the fact that her permission slip wasn't signed. They didn't explain why she shouldn't walk around alone, no one explained anything to her.

She had to spy on the minister and her professor to find out as far as they knew, Sirius Black was the right-hand man of Voldemort and had sold out Adriane's parents. She was lucky that she had decided to listen to Sirius's side of the story otherwise she never would have found out that he was innocent of the crimes he was accused of.

If she had never found out then he would, most likely, be dead. Either killed by her own hands or from the dementor's kiss.

After she finished organizing her mind she took a small nap before she started training for the third task. It was going to be coming up soon and whoever entered her would probably act during it. Adriane doubted that it was a crazy fan who entered her after all, if it had been they would have told her trying to make her impressed. No, someone wanting to get her killed had entered her and she still suspected it was Professor Moody.

It was always the Defense teacher that tried to kill her after all.

It had been a hard few months for Adriane, she spent most of the time training. She trained her magic and her superpowers, she had a feeling she might need the extra training for the maze. Call it a gut feeling.

Right now she was sitting at breakfast with her friends when Professor McGonagall walked over. "Mister Potter, please follow me."

"May I ask what I have done Professor?"

Professor McGonagall shook her head, "You misunderstand me Mister Potter, you are not in trouble but it is time for the traditional meeting of the families."

She raised an eyebrow at the Professor, surely she wasn't being serious right? She was aware that Adriane had no family besides the Dursleys and she had her doubts that they would suddenly get over their hatred and fear of magic enough to willingly agree to come to Hogwarts and support their freak of a "nephew".

The only other family she had was the Waynes and they were in Gotham actually, she wasn't even sure that the magical world knew about them.

"Ma'am you seem to have forgotten, but I have no family so sadly I will not be following you or taking part in this." Adriane tried to keep her tone respectful, only a bit longer, and then she could leave this hellish place forever.

"Be that as it may, you still have people waiting for you, Mister Potter."

"Who?"

"Excuse me?" The Professor sounded baffled that Adriane asked who was waiting for her. She didn't understand why, it was reasonable that she would want to know who was waiting for her as her family.
