Dumbledore paced the potions lab in his small house, he had had to leave Hogwarts when he realized that the Aurors had been sent to arrest him. He had fled to his home, a home he had taken great care to never reveal to anyone. His home was under the fidelius charm, he always found it amusing when people believed you couldn't be your own secret keeper.

That was a lie he had spread to make it easier for people to get through the charms, in actuality, being your own secret keeper made the magic protecting the home stronger.

He had made a quick stop by the Burrow and picked up Molly, Ronald, and Ginevra. He had tried to get Hermione as well but learned she had already been arrested, but it wasn't because of what was in the paper, it was because she had cursed her father.

He was baffled, wondering why his great-granddaughter would do that. As far as Dumbledore was aware, Hermione had no idea that she was his great-granddaughter and that was how he would like to keep it that way.

Her being his great-granddaughter was why he chose her for his plans. In truth, he could have chosen any light-sided witch to keep Ron and Harry on track and it would have worked out the same. It might have even worked out better if he had chosen an attractive girl, but alas, he was a sentimental old fool and had to choose his grandchild to be the one to keep hold of Potter's leash.

To be fair to Hermione, she had done an amazing job until her fourth year. Even then she did everything Dumbledore asked of her. Dumbledore had been sure that with no one else to turn to, Potter would go to him, begging him to get the witch-turned-wizard out of the tournament.

Dumbledore would have acted distraught as he would inform Potter that there was no way to remove him from the tournament and that he was sorry he couldn't do more. He would disclose to him that if he trained him there was a risk of both of them losing their magic since champions are not allowed to get help from a Professor or their headmaster.

Potter would obviously believe him, and Dumbledore would suggest a few books to read, nothing truly useful, for the task since he knew Moody or Barty Crouch Jr would help the child.

After that Potter would look up to him more, believing that he had done all he could to help him with his hands tied the way they were.

Unfortunately, Potter hadn't done what Dumbledore had predicted, he had somehow broken his chains, and more distressing, the binds on his magic.

Now the child was probably running around as a female with all her magic unlocked. Dumbledore was furious, he could faintly hear Molly upstairs cooking at his stove, while her two youngest voices complained about needing to be in hiding.

He looked down at the potion he was brewing and smiled darkly, soon he would figure out where Potter was, soon he would have her in his grasp again, control her and the Potter fortune again. Everything would be perfect when he got his hands on the brat.

His head snapped to look up at the roof when he heard Molly scream, what the hell caused her to scream like that? He thought as he rushed upstairs.

Hermione sat in her tiny cell at the Ministry of Magic seething. How was she supposed to know that her dad hadn't cheated on her mom and bred a bastard kid? Her parents had never mentioned the friends they helped out or the fact that Hermione had a half-sister out there.

She couldn't believe they had hidden this from her, she had always wished for siblings and now she finds out that she had a sister out there all along.

She wasn't worried about being in trouble for cursing her dad, as soon as she explained what had happened and why she cursed him she was sure they would understand.
