Chapter 3

Kavish entered their room, the sound of the door closing softly behind him. His eyes immediately fell upon Jhilmil, who stood before the mirror, dressed in her blouse and petticoat. A beautiful saree lay spread across the bed, waiting to be adorned. Jhilmil wore a slight pout on her lips, clearly struggling with the intricate art of saree draping.

Kavish couldn't help but be captivated by the sight before him. A playful smile danced on his lips as he approached Jhilmil, his eyes filled with affection.

“Having a little trouble there, my lovely Jhilmil?” He smiled teasingly at her. Instantly, her cheeks grew scarlet.

Jhilmil turned towards Kavish, her eyes lighting up with a mix of frustration and amusement. She let out a sigh, her voice filled with a hint of playfulness.

“Yes! This saree seems to have a mind of its own. I thought I could handle it, but it's proving to be quite a challenge. Can you lend me your expert assistance?” She whined, pouting.

Kavish chuckled softly, feeling a surge of joy at the opportunity to help her. He moved closer, his hands gently reaching out to support her in her saree-draping endeavour.

“Of course, amar priyo ginni. Let me assist you. We'll conquer this saree together.” He chuckled. ( My beloved wifey)

With utmost care and patience, Kavish guided Jhilmil through the steps, his fingers skillfully manoeuvring the folds and pleats of the saree. As they worked in harmony, their bodies drew closer, their hearts beating in sync.

Kavish's hands moved with precision and tenderness, a reflection of the practice he had gained over time. Jhilmil couldn't help but marvel at his skill.

“Accha, you're so adept at draping sarees. Where did you learn this?” She asked curiously. Kavish's eyes sparkled with warmth as he smiled at her.

“Well, Jhilmil, I used to help my mother with her saree draping when I was younger. And now, I occasionally assist my sister with her sarees for her college functions. It seems my skills have come in handy today.” He spoke fondly, thinking about his mother and sister.

Jhilmil looked at him with admiration, grateful for the care and effort he put into helping her.

As the final pleats fell into place, Jhilmil's beauty radiated, enhanced by the elegance of the saree. Kavish stepped back, his eyes filled with adoration.

"You look breathtaking, Jhilmil. Maa Kali will be mesmerised by your grace and devotion.” He whispered.

They were going to visit Dakshineswar Temple to seek the divine blessings of Maa Kali for the journey that lay ahead of them.

Jhilmil blushed, her heart filled with joy and love. She reached out and took Kavish's hand, intertwining their fingers.

“Thank you.Today, as we seek Maa Kali's blessings, I'm grateful for your presence in my life. Together, we'll create a future filled with love and faith.” Her voice, gentle.

They shared a tender embrace, their hearts entwined with love and devotion as they prepared to embark on their spiritual journey.

The sun glistened on the tranquil waters of the Hooghly River as Jhilmil and Kavish embarked on their boat ride towards the Dakshineswar Temple. The boat gently swayed with the rhythm of the river, carrying them closer to their destination.
