Foxfire chapter 5

When Sophie got to Foxfire she walked into orientation and met keefe. He quickly kissed her on the cheek and then stood next to her. Biana walked up on Sophie's other side, seeming to have calmed down since the other day. She then said "I'm sorry I reacted that way its like I knew you liked Keefe..but.. I didn't know it would happen so fast and I thought you would tell me." Keefe then said "you know how the mysterious Ms. F is, she's always keeping secrets. You should've seen her when she told me she liked me—she squeezed her eyes shut real tight until I walked close and kissed her." "Keefe! That is not what happened first you said it could get messy, then you asked if I wanted you to list the complications, and then you asked if I was sure and I leaned up on my toes  and you leaned in and kissed me. "We'll anyways... I forgive you it's not your fault I get that you didn't want to tell everyone yet." Biana said.  "Thanks for understanding." Said Sophie. Fitz walked up to them and said hi then he walked over to Dex and started talking  "you know, it's amazing how much they hated each other when they met. I mean they wouldn't have a conversation without scowling and now look at them." They all looked up at Dex and Fitz as if amazed that they got along so well. It was then that Sophie realized everyone was looking at her and keefe and talking about them. "Why do I feel like Marella had something to do with THIS." Keefe said putting his arms out and spinning in a slow circle to emphasize he was talking about the rumors. "You and me both" said biana. "Actually make that three I agree... marella definitely had something to do with this." Sophie said. It was then that Magnate Leto appeared on the screen for announcements he looked right at Sophie and keefe as if questioning why they were standing so close when it seemed to dawn on him what was happening. Later that day Sophie stopped by magnate Leto's office by his request. She was pretty sure she new what this was about and if she did she was not looking forward to this conversation. When she arrived keefe was already sitting in one of the office's chairs with the same look of dread on his face as Sophie. Magnate leto then said "ahh Miss Foster you've arrived—I think you both know what this is about and honestly I just want an answer. Are you two hopefuls?" Sophie felt her cheeks on fire and she'd never seen keefe so red before either. Keefe then said "Come on Forklenater you know foster can't resist my good looks." Sophie was sure her cheeks were reader than the blood she'd seen in the snow when sandor fell. "So I take it your answer is yes?" "Yes is the answer, yes." Sophie suddenly said. "I hear you've contacted the council about matchmaking adjustments Sophie. Is this true?" "Yes, I just want one thing to be somewhat normal."Sophie said. "We've both already turned in our packets now we just wait a year, pray, and remember that neither of us REALLY care about the match." Keefe said. "Good plan, I was honestly just curious.. you two are free to go." Magnate Leto said. "Okey dokey see ya in detention forklanator." Keefe said as he did a fancy bow and took Sophie's hand she giggled and accepted it.. and as they walked down the hall hand in hand keefe swore that was the happiest he'd ever felt anyone—even if Sophie's emotions were extra strong."
