Sophie woke up to crying that morning, she had to change both twins. Keefe got up a few minutes later and helped her. She then had to feed them— which might just be the most uncomfortable thing she'd ever done. Then she dropped them off at Havenfield and her and Keefe both went to work at Loamnore. When they got there they stopped by the throne room first. "Hello Mrs. Foster it's good to see you, how are the kids?" Queen Nubiti asked. "They're good, thank you, Queen Nubiti." Sophie said Kindly. "How have you been, Queen Nubiti?" Keefe asked. "I've been better, but thank you for asking Mr. Foster." "No problem, we have to go search now, have a good day." Keefe said. He and Sophie searched Loamnore from top to bottom and couldn't find anything— until Sophie finally said "Clearly whoever we're dealing with here is smart, so what if they were extra careful inside Loamnore but not outside of this city." "Yeah that makes sense, boy have I missed your problem solving skills." Keefe said, a hint of laugh in his voice. "How about we ask Grady and your dad first, before your dad was removed from the council he and Grady were the ones looking for the missing dwarves 11 years ago." Sophie said, surprised about how long ago it was. "Geez foster, I can't believe you remember every little detail and also—11 years! No way, we're getting old." Keefe said, just as surprised. "If you don't say it— I will— photographic memory for the win." "Is my snark wearing off, again?!" Keefe said, a little exited. "Again?!" Sophie said a little offended. "Yeah, remember back when we hung out and talked about how bad mommy dearest was, and one day I was with you and you mouthed off to Grady." Keefe said, now he was full on laughing. "It's not funny!" Sophie said, a laugh bubbling up her throat. "Alright I'll leave you alone now but there will be a tickle fight tonight." Keefe said, finally calming down. He pulled out his pathfinder and they leaped to Havenfield, when they got there it looked like Grady was just getting home too. "Hey, dad, we're assigned to search Loamnore right now do you know of any other tunnels or routes that the dwarves take to get out of the city?" Sophie asked. "Mmhmm, but give me an hour to shower, you guys can stay here tonight since we already have the twins you might as well." Grady said. "Okay, like you said we might as well, plus I have some of Keefe's clothes in my old closet so it should work fine." Sophie replied. When they got inside Edaline was making dinner, the twins were in two high chairs one was pink and the other blue. "Hi daddy, hi mommy." Katlyn said when they walked in to the room. "Hey Katy!" Keefe said in a high pitched voice as he picked her up and rocked her in his arms. Sophie picked up Steven and he stayed quiet but his eyes seemed to say that he was enjoying his day. "How was your day Stevey?" Sophie asked the little baby. "It was great, grandma made us mallowmelt!" Steven replied giddily. When Sophie looked over at Katlyn and Keefe, they couldn't look more alike— they were both smirking at Sophie with beautiful ice blue eyes. As Keefe looked at Sophie he didn't realize how much Steven looked like her, they had the same toothy grin and amazing brown eyes. They sat down next to each other with one of the twins in each of their laps. Grady walked down from his shower then and saw them and said "you know, you guys couldn't look more perfect right now." "Thanks Grady!" Keefe said actually sounding like that comment boosted his already off the scale confidence chart. Grady then walked down and told them both to take a shower. That's when they both remembered they were covered in mud from Loamnore. Sophie and Keefe went upstairs to her old room and took a shower together (tell your dirty mind to shut up) when they got out they both smelled great and put on some old clothes from Sophie's closet. Keefe put on the tunic he left there a few years ago, it still fit. Sophie just put on an old tunic and black leggings no need for shoes or cape. When she came down stairs she picked up both twins and bounced them around on her hips. Keefe came down a few seconds later and picked up Steven. "Hey buddy, as soon as those little hands work better I'm gonna teach you how to style your hair like mine." Keefe said chuckling a little. "Okay, daddy. I can't wait to look like you! Will Katlyn look like mommy?" Steven said giddily. "I don't know, does Katlyn want to look like mommy?" He said it like it was a question for Katlyn, she seemed to get that. "Yaaaa, mommy is pretty!" Katlyn said even more giddily than her brother. "Time for dinner!" Edaline shouted from the kitchen, where'd she'd been cooking since they got there. She walked to the table with the food and said "Oh hi Sophie, hi Keefe, this is a nice surprise. You're in luck I made extra." "Hi mom! Dad said we could stay the night is that okay?" Sophie asked. "Of course it is, your always welcome to stay here!" Edaline exclaimed. "Thanks Edaline." Keefe said. "Oh no problem Keefe." Edaline said. Then she sat down next to Grady and they ate. During dinner Sophie and Keefe asked Grady about Loamnore and he told them all the tunnels that aren't mapped. "Thanks Grady, this is actually really helpful." Keefe said after he swallowed his food. "No problem guys, I'm always happy to help, just give it a bit before you give us more grand baby's, these ones are a bit of a handful!" Grady joked. Sophie and Keefe didn't take it as a joke until Grady started chuckling then they all cracked up. Then they went upstairs— and the twins slept in Jolie's old room, they turned it into a nursery.
