Ravagog chapter 21

The next morning Sophie woke up with Keefe's arm around her— like usual. She then got up, got dressed in a red tunic, black leggings, high brown boots, her emissary circlet, and her new emissary navy blue cape.

Then she went to the nursery and fed the twins— slowly getting less uncomfortable. Then she went back upstairs and woke up Keefe. When he got up he put on a white undershirt a simple red jerkin, black dress pants, high brown boots, his emissary circlet, and his new navy blue emissary cape.

He then went down stairs cracked a couple jokes to the twins and leaped them to Havenfield, when he got back to Blossomwood Sophie had made ripplefluffs for her and Keefe. Keefe ate two and Sophie at one and a half— she then washed the dishes. After everything was cleaned up Sophie took Keefe's hand and they stepped into the light, glittering away to the border of Ravagog where they were supposed to meet Cassius and Grady. When they got there Cassius was waiting and Grady was walking over to them. Then they all got onto Master Cadence's house boat and sailed into the ogre city. When they got there a few guards were waiting to escort them to Dimiter's castle. When they got there Dimiter was waiting with Ro at his side "Hey would ya look at that, it's my two favorite elves, Blondy and Hunkyhair. How's sparkle city been?" Ro said enthusiastically. "It's been good, we actually have kids now." Sophie said. "Hey, how come Hunkyhair and you never told me!? I want to meet them, make sure they know me as auntie Ro." Ro said sounding a little disappointed that she was kept out of the loop. "Ro, your welcome to visit anytime just don't put any enzymes on them please, there only like a week old, they're twins." Sophie said apologetically. "Wait a minute, isn't that like super rare with you elves, like won't your kids be made fun of for like, ever!?" Ro asked, actually sounding concerned for the twins. "Well, yeah, but we're trying to teach them not to be bothered by stuff like that. And Keefe and I aren't exactly normal, I mean we do both have altered DNA." Sophie said. "Yeah, I guess your right." Ro said. "Well l think the twins will be just fine if they have hair like me and a smile like you Sophie." Keefe said. "Yeah well, even though they do look just like us that's not enough, but I do hope that we can build some kind of leg-reputation for the Fosters." Sophie said interrupting herself mid sentence. "Hey I've heard the L word enough times in my lifetime." Ro said, wishing she was joking. "Eh em, If you three are done I'd like to make a deal, as you elves know I have offered the services of my military. I am allowing them to be your bodyguards under the condition that you
Return all the soporidine to the ogres to be tested and altered." Dimiter said sternly. "Yes, and we would like to make this deal with you too." Cassius said. "Then I believe that we sign the papers and close the deal." Dimiter said, glaring at Keefe and Sophie as if remembering how much he hated them. "Alright then sign your silly papers so I can go live with Hunkyhair and Blondy at— err. What did you guys name your sparkly house?" Ro said. "Blossomwood." Keefe said. Grady, Cassius, and Dimiter all signed the deed and Sophie, Keefe, and Ro were the witnesses. After the deal was closed Sophie, Keefe, Ro, and Grady all went to Havenfield for dinner. Ro immediately started playing with the twins and teaching them about weapons— they both loved her and immediately started to call her Auntie Ro. Then after dinner Ro carried them while the five of them leaped to Blossomwood and Ro guarded outside the nursery door. Sophie and Keefe changed into pajamas and cuddled into bed until they both fell asleep.
