The healing center chapter 15

When Sophie woke up she had water in her underwear and knew instantly what it meant. "Keefe?" Sophie asked, trying to wake him up. "Whaaat?" He asked halfway through a yawn. "I'm in labor!" Sophie said. Keefe instantly jumped up and got dressed and he got Sophie dressed. Keefe then packed each baby two oufits and about 40 diapers. "Alrighty Fosterpoo, let's go!" Keefe said a little too giddily. He took her hand and they leaped to the healing center, when they got there Elwin seemed ready and Sophie said "How did you know?" "Elvin pregnancy is different than human, you guys always have the same amount of time from your inception date, they don't." Elwin replied calmly. "Okay, where do you want me?" Sophie asked, trying to stay as calm as Elwin. "You can lay down right here after you put on this delivery gown." Elwin said, pointing to a cot with foot spots on each side. She left the room to quickly change into the gown, Elvin hospital gowns were VERY different from human ones.

After she put it on she laid on the cot and Elwin asked her to spread her legs. She spread her legs and, surprisingly, she didn't feel any pain— just a little uncomfortable. He asked her to push, and she did. It didn't hurt but it was tiring. She held Keefe's hand the whole time and as soon as the first twin came out he started crying happy tears. Elwin handed baby Katlyn Foster to keefe and he cradled her in his arms as she said "knock knock." "Who's there?" Keefe asked giggling. "Hunky." Katlyn said. "Hunky who?" Keefe asked, still giggling. "Hunkyhair!" Katlyn said now giggling too. Then Sophie continued pushing and the second twin came out— baby Steven Foster— Sophie held him in her arms. Katlyn had ice blue eyes with golden brown flecks in them and Steven had golden brown eyes with ice blue flecks in them. Sophie could already tell that Katlyn would be just as snarky as Keefe, and yet, for some reason, she wouldn't have it any other way. After Sophie was ready Keefe hailed the group and they all came to meet the babies. Dex held Katlyn first, when she told him a joke he cracked up. Biana held Steven first and he was pretty content in her arms besides a few things like "Biana is beautiful" every once in a while. Every time he said something like that Biana would say "And Steven is very handsome."
Keefe had dressed them in their green outfits.

Sophie was wearing a lacy green tunic, a silver cape, black leggings, and brown high boots. Keefe was wearing a white under shirt, a green jerkin, black dress pants, a silver cape, and high brown boots. They tried to match. Biana handed Steven over to Tam who stared at him intently, Dex handed Katlyn over to Fitz. She cracked a joke about Keefe and Fitz cracked up and made a joke too. Tam was having a full conversation with Steven when Dex said "Keefe, I know your dreading this but, what ability's will they have?" "I thought you'd ask, but luckily I took the time to determine that Katlyn will be an Empath and a Polyglot and Steven will be a Telepath and a Polyglot. Which they were each super strong feeling so I think that means they'll be really powerful." Keefe said it proudly with a hint of relief in his voice. Nobody could blame him. Cassius finally made it as an emissary again, so he and Grady were on an assignment together— Edaline went to get them from ravagog, they were making a deal with dimiter. When they got to the healing center they both looked like they'd just run 3 miles— things probably weren't going good in Ravagog. "Sorry Soph we got caught up in Ravagog so I couldn't answer your hails." Grady said. "Keefe, can I please hold one of my grandchildren?" Cassius asked, sounding genuine. "Sure, dad." Keefe said taking Katlyn from Fitz and handing her to Cassius, then he took Steven from Tam and handed him to Grady. "It's alright, dad." Sophie said forgivingly. "She's beautiful Keefe." Cassius said. "Thanks Grandpa." Katlyn said. "You're very welcome, sweetheart." Cassius said. Just then Sophie whispered to Keefe "Well now we know the key to your dads heart." "Yeah, for real." Keefe said under his breath just loud enough for Sophie to hear. "Well aren't you cute." Grady said to Steven. "Thank you pop pop." Steven replied. After everyone went home Sophie and keefe took the babies to blossomwood and got them all set up in their beds and pajamas, then they all slept peacefully through the night with no interruptions or pains.
