Arya inched through the waves, letting her feet sink into the sand as each wave passed by her feet. She grew shorter and before she knew it.

Cam was standing next to her, following her lead.

"I've never met anyone else who does that you know. They're convinced they'll get swept out in the ocean or something will bite them." He chuckled, while he began to sink his feet in the sand beside her.

The water was just the perfect temperature and as always, just when her feet were going to sink far past her ankles when the next wave came and would sweep her away, she decided what to do to prevent that.

"Run!"

She pulled her feet from the sand, the wave following behind her and just when she thought the water would catch her in the slightest, it had barely hit the sand close to her. She turned to Cam smiling.
She hadn't felt like life was okay to be acting like a child in a while and standing here with Cam, on the beach knowing he was willing to be her friend. Things did feel that way.

Arya grabbed Cam's hand and pulled him back down the sand and toward the waves of the ocean. When they were far enough in the water, she let go of his hand, inching out in the water more. She let her body ease and slowly pushed herself under the water, rushing into panic when two large hands wrapped around her sides, sending tingles all along her body and those same two hands pulled her up from under the water.

She squirmed, wiping her eyes with her hands and eased when she realized it was Cam.

"Put me down!" She laughed, squirming at his grip but, he wouldn't let her go.

"What did you say?" He basically was yelling, obviously teasing her.

"I said put me down!"

And with that, she was barely able to let out a scream when Cam let his hands fall from around her waist, dropping her in the water. She struggled to pull herself back up and just when she was about to pop her head back up from under the water, Cam brought his hands back to her sides.

She coughed, ridding all the salty water from her throat. Cam must have been worried because he took a few steps back toward the shore and just as the last of her coughs finished, she pushed Cam's head under the water, a soft laugh escaping from her lips, his laughter joining hers when he came back up.

"Hang on to me." Was all he said, and she obeyed, her legs found their way to his sides and her arms around his neck. Their eyes met one another, and she could make out that his were a soft brown. Looking at him, she could make out all the dimples on his face and the crease on the side of his cheek.

He pushed them back out further in the water, the waves crushing beside them.

"You okay?" He asked, and she nodded her head before moving a few strands of hair from out of his face.

The two stared at each other for what felt like forever before either one spoke.

"Thank you for hanging out with me. I really appreciate it." Arya smiled.

Arya could feel Cam still trying to keep them afloat using his legs and she was sure he was getting tired yet, he didn't say anything.

"It's not like I was doing much anyway." He shrugged, a small smirk on his face.

"The laying under an umbrella is something." She rolled her eyes.

"I was tanning."

"In the shade." She questioned.

The two laughed, knowing she was right.

"I'm getting cold. Maybe we could go back to the shore?"

Disappointment flooded his face but instead of saying no, he nodded his head and pushed them back to the shore and the two walked back to the umbrella where all their stuff had been under.
