Arya woke with beads of sweat running down her forehead and her breathing shaky. Her stomach was knotted, and it felt like she wanted to pass out each time she tried to stand up.

Pain shot through different parts of her body. Her arms, legs, chest, head but, especially, her stomach. She reached for her phone, wincing in pain. Dialing her dad's number, she let it ring and nothing but the sweet sound of his voice on his voicemail answered.

Annoyed, she rushed to get up again, struggling to get into the bathroom. She rolled a strand of toilet paper, ripping it from where the rest of the toilet paper was and checked to make sure that she wasn't bleeding.

She sighed in relief, seeing no blood. Thankful that it couldn't be a miscarriage.

Her phone rang, Cam's name popping up on the screen and then she looked at the time.

Shit.

It was a little after three, and they had planned to meet for two thirty. He probably thought she stood him up. She took a deep breath and picked up the phone.

"Hey Cam!"

"Arya! Where are you?"

He sounded relieved to hear her voice and she could hear the wind in the background, figuring he was probably at the beach. She imagined the beautiful blue sky and the miles of sand all down the shoreline, brought back to reality when another pain shot through her stomach.

"Sorry. I just woke up. Still getting used to the weather. I'm also having these sharp pains but, if you wanna meet at mine in like fifteen that would be great. It would also give me time to get ready."

"No worries. Take your time and just let me know when you're ready."

She could hear a smile on his face through his tone and, despite of her whole body being in pain, it had stopped for just a moment, distracting her from reality.

"See ya." Cam said before he hung up.

Arya pulled out the bathroom drawer just far enough to grab a bottle of ibuprofen. When she was about to open the bottle, she pictured the list of things she couldn't do while pregnant in her head and put the bottle back, sighing.

She figured maybe when she got home from mini golf with Cam, she could stop at the food lion and grab acetaminophen, the only thing she probably could take while pregnant and in pain.

Arya tried to push through the pain and did a full face of makeup to hide any sort of tiredness in her eyes. When she was done, she slipped into a pair of jean shorts that stopped just below her fingertips and a hot pink crop top that stuck to her body like glue. She reached for a clip, styling her hair into a high clip ponytail and not too long after that she texted Cam to let him know she was ready to go.

Before she knew it, the pain went away itself and she was relieved that she could hopefully enjoy the day.

Arya grabbed her wallet off the top of her dresser, buckled up her sandals and trotted down the step. She grabbed her keys from the key rack where there was about three more hanging, waiting to be pulled as well. She opened the front door, locking it behind her and smiled when she saw Cam come into view. She raced down the steps, her hair catching in the wind.

"Cam!"

Each time she was with him, she got that overwhelming feeling again. The rush of emotions constantly seeming to try and push her to explore them but, she remained composed. Her eyes remained latched to his and he never seemed to let his gaze slip hers.

"I'm so sorry again."

She felt terrible for waking up so late but, she knew he didn't mind. He was too sweet from what she had observed of him so far.
