THE GENTLE WAVES OF THE OCEAN lapped at the shore, creating echoes of tranquility that were both calming and invigorating. The salty sea breeze carried the scent of the ocean, and the warmth of the sun on the skin felt like a gentle caress.
Lounging in the sun or exploring the tide pools and rocky outcroppings, the grains were warm and soft beneath their feet, and the water was crystal clear, inviting them to dive in and explore the underwater world.
There were a couple hundred people, primarily residents of the island, all of them were olive skinned, tanned from the sun and spoke a foreign language that the ears of the woman could not understand.
She was at the peak of her life on her once a month vacation.
"Miss .. Rieka Urashima?" The last name that seemed to taunt her. The woman looked up, not exactly the happiest face in the world that the person was blocking the rays of sun on her skin.
"Depends on who's asking."
He coughed to clear his throat. "On behalf of Jujutsu—"
She held up her hand where a ring glistened on her middle finger. A simple silver that hid an atrocious tan line beneath it.
"You've got the wrong person, goodbye." The woman shoo'ed him away like an incessant bug. But instead of fleeing, he dropped down onto his knees, forehead touching the floor.
"Please! We're begging you—"
Rieka let out a long irritated groan. "I'm in my twenties now! I'm tired of you bunch! Let a woman live." Her skin was well tanned out to a healthy warm beige. Her excess exposure to the sun had led to the harsh sun bleaching out her hair into a lighter brown that bordered dirty blonde.
Before he could murmur anything, she snapped her fingers and teleported the manager back to the Jujutsu school down to the very last coordinate.
Yuki Tsumuko would be proud of her substitute.
"They're persistent."
She nodded her head, accepting the dessert that was offered to her by the man who towered above six feet tall now. He grew more lean, likely doubling her frame now. It was almost terrifying.
They had changed quite a bit. Even young Megumi Fushiguro thought so. However, the boy was currently at school, somewhere around a couple thousand miles away from them.
Her long hair that had now grown long past her waist was braided to manage its unruly length.
Gojo stood in front of her in his hibiscus floral unbuttoned shirt and pineapple swimming trunks.
Throughout this time, the male had learned something. He was simply too good at everything he did.
So he tried to limit himself to the things that he could do.
Currently, the pair were invested in beach volleyball, playing a few tournaments every week. It almost felt like they were cheating .. but there was no reason to feel bad.
Every weekend they would take Megumi with them, flying him over just a few hours and flying him back the night of school, at least still making sure that he was still well.
"You make me look ill next to you." Gojo had chuckled, looking at their skin difference. He was still pale .. extremely pale. He'd maybe gone from an ivory to a slightly tanner ivory.
"People still ask me if you're sick. It's your Infinity's fault for blocking out UV.." She muttered, finishing off her icecream cone, stealing a quick kiss onto the man's lips as he smiled into it.
