THERE WAS A RUMOR THAT LINGERED IN THE AIR amongst the new incoming first years, the students who looked forward to four years in a school in which their out of the ordinary was the norm, and their uniqueness was embraced.
A maiden with caramel brown hair that could be mistaken for clear straws of gold in the sunlight that matched with her eyes could be spotted on campus, lingering around, leaving luck for the incoming first years.
It was a silly little rumor that had sprouted from the incoming first years that had come in for orientation.
She was the golden third year student.
The description of her long hair and bold brilliant eyes were true .. the rest were debatable. Rieka Urashima tucked her phone away into her skirt after reading the text she'd received. She had grown to embrace her custom uniform that was tailored to match her new measurements as she had miraculously continued to grow just a tad bit more at her turning point of eighteen years old.
It had been a couple of months since the term started, there had been some clashes between the hot summer weather transitioning into a cooler autumn breeze.
Rieka could feel herself being swayed by the wind as someone's voice became lost in its bellowing.
She turned around to be met with one of the incoming first years. "Senpai!"
"Yu! Where's Nanamin?" The boy was typically seen with his more introverted counterpart, but today he was nowhere to be seen.
The male took a moment to catch his breath. His eyes seemed to bulge out of their sockets as he held up the phone for Rieka to see the screen. On the headline it read: "Shizuoka explosion at Hamamatsu City"
The name clicked in her head as where Utahime along with Mei Mei had been dispatched for their mission, it was a bit over the due date and no word had been sent to update them over the curse so to be extra cautious, Yaga had sent the golden trio to go check it out.
"Apparently .. they forgot to put up a curtain! Suguru-senpai asked me to come find you."
"Ah .." Rieka sighed exasperatedly. Once again her underclassmen were in trouble.
She rounded the corner of her former teacher's office where she could see three figures on the floor in a kneeling position.
"... Not just leaving the auxiliary manager behind, Akari Nitta, but you forgot to put up a cur—"
There were three knocks on the door followed by another two knocks. Not many people knocked on the door with a pattern, but one did.
He curled his fingers into a fist, sighing. "What is it, Rieka?"
Gojo's eyes twinkled at his savior, Shoko and Suguru waving at the girl's appearance, thankful they got a momentary break from their teacher's lecture about leaving behind their manager.
Yaga clicked his tongue and brought his fist down on the mop of white hair. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU, RASCAL!"
The boy began to sulk.
"Sensei, the higher ups would like to have a word with you." Rieka smiled gently, waving a folder in his hand as her teacher muttered an inaudible curse beneath his breath, getting up out of his seat.
"This isn't over for you, boy!"
Rieka closed the door behind the man and his grumbling and stomping.
He was always such an easily irritable old man .. not as much as the principal of the Kyoto school but nonetheless, short tempered.
Sometimes the female worried about his well-being and his blood pressure. Gojo and Suguru did drive him insane often, in addition to Shoko's smoking that made the man worry for her little lungs.
