You knocked on his grandma's house door, waiting for an answer that never came. It looked like that one time two years ago when he entered from your window, and you locked him inside your room.
Ironic that now you were the one to ask to let you enter.

But unlike that time when he intruded in your house by the window, you didn't need to beg like he did. By the time you held your fist on the door, ready to knock again. By the time you held your fist on the door, ready to knock again, he had already opened it.

He looked horrible, like he had a cold, but without the actual cold.

"Came to tell me that you made progress on throwing my father in jail? Because I don't want to hear anything about it for now," he asked, passing a hand in his hair.

"Not yet. I just came here to check on you... It has been a week since we last spoke. What the hell happened to you?" You asked worriedly, bringing your hand to his cheek, caressing it.

He looked at you for a few seconds, and then told you to enter. Now that you saw him up close, he looked more tired than sick.

"Michael! Is it the postman?" You heard an old lady yelling from another room, as he closed the door.

"No grandma! It's just [Name]!" He yelled back, smiling. You couldn't help but chuckle at how this could have been a normal conversation between you grandma and you.

"That little girl you met that summer? I can't believe she still want to see your childish face." The lady got out of the room, and her eyes lit up when she looked at you. "Oh dear, look at you. You must have a lot of boys in line for you. You're so beautiful."

As she hugged you, you noticed your height difference, and how close you were to Michael's. And regarding him, you looked at the boy with sharp eyes.

"Thank you, I actually don't have them... I already have a boyfriend," you said with an embarrassed smile, hinting Michael with your head.

When the lady realized, her smile disappeared as she walked back to the kitchen. "You could have had better."

"Thank you grandma, I love you too," he yelled, before taking your hand. "Come on, let's go upstairs... There's something that you should know." His smile also disappeared, not because of disappointment, but because of sadness.

"What happened?" You asked, but he didn't talk until you both were in his room. It was pretty similar in decorations as the one he had in Hurricane, but it was a little bit smaller.

He sat on his bed and tapped the place next to his. Maybe what he wanted to tell you was the reason why he looked so down.

"Elizabeth's gone too. Dad called grandma yesterday and he told her, then she told me." The news left you shocked in part, but to a small extent you kinda expected it.

After Chris and Charlie, it's horrible to say but there's no two without three. You hoped that she was going to be the last, but you knew that she wouldn't.

You had to keep both eyes open even more than you were already doing on Afton.

"How didn't I know that? I live in Hurricane, I should have known before you..."

"Because what it killed was a robot made by the head of the Afton Robotics, so a lot of lawyers got into the mess to not let anyone talk about it." You grabbed his hand and held it tight in yours, letting him know that you were there for him.
