Entering the house, everything looked normal, like you wouldn't tell that a murderer lives here. Quickly and swiftly you checked all the rooms, in search for any form of life.

"Oh, I'm sorry for the question, but why are you in my house?" A childish voice asked behind you, and he had a deadpanned face on. And there he was Chris again. Thelast time you saw him was in the hospital.

"I came to find out more about Remnant, and if there's a quicker way to free the kids' spirits."

You stopped yourself before opening the last door to check: the master's bedroom. "Do all the ghosts become sassier in the afterlife?"

"Of course not, but being the dead son of the same murderer that killed other ghost-kids it's a bit ironic."

"Because you weren't even killed by a human?" He responded with finger guns, thinking that maybe if you had died a week ago you would have spared yourself the agony of being the last victim alive.

You entered the bedroom, and it was a complete mess, together with the whole house. But unlike Michael's room days ago at his grandma's, this looked more... staged. Everything was messy on the outside, but the wardrobe, drawers, were all clean.

Looks like someone is putting on a facade.

While exploring you stumbled across a wooden box, and by stumbled that means you almost tripped down because of that little bitch. You picked it up and looked at it carefully.
Your reason took over your desire and decided that you would open it later, because something else was on your list. The basement.

If something was going on in the house, surely it was down there.
And so down you went, knowing that nothing harmful can happen to you now.

It was a normal sized basement, with the cement walls and lots, lots of metal scraps, wires, robot eyeballs and other components, all scattered around.
It wasn't strange. Henry's box was the same. One little thing you noticed was a little table on the side of the room filled with something that looked more like sorcery than robotics.

A glass of strange liquid was half empty on the worktable, together with a syringe that was completely empty, but you could understand what was inside before.

"What the hell is this...?" You said to yourself, but apparently one of the words summoned Charlie.

She got closer to the table and inspected it thoroughly. She only got her answer when she tried to touch it, and she was horrified.

"What is it? Are you ok?" You asked, kneeling down to her level. Her eyes were wide open as she pointed the syringe.

"That's remnant, [Name]..." She said, "this is the real experiment, not the kids themselves."

"I know he's a psychopath, but who would inject himself with this?" You asked yourself, and Charlie, taking the syringe in hand.

"Now that I think about it, Remnant is the juice of a new life, literally. He might want to be immortal."

Is it possible that his every murder in life was brought forward by the desire of living forever? That's the worst thing that could happen... How can you look at all your loved ones while they die and you always stay the same?

... It is a bit awkward coming from your immortal ass. But it's not like you searched for it.

Immediately after you remembered the box upstairs, and thinking that it could give you more info about this remnant injection thing, you rushed to open it.
