Aiden jolted up, breathing heavily. He felt around his surroundings, realizing he was in his bed.
Honestly, he preferred the nightmare over this place.
He shut off his alarm, getting up to get ready for school. The sun was still down, but he got up early to avoid interactions with his dad.
Aiden took a quick shower. Looking at himself through the mirror at the hand print still left on his cheek. It wasn't too noticeable anymore, but if you looked closely you would be able to see the bruise
Aiden changed, throwing on a Military Green Jacket, with a Maroon shirt underneath, and a pair of jeans and his vans. He grabbed his backpack and put his headphones around his neck.
He opened his drawer for his money, groaning to himself to see it was empty.
He forgot he used all his money for breakfast yesterday morning. He would've took some from his dad, but he didn't want to risk it. He really should just get a job. There was a coffee and donut shop that seemed nice.
He rolled his eyes, he'd be able to survive 'till lunch. He slowly crept out of his room, and out the front door just as the sun began to rise. Making the not so far trek to school.

Peter ventured around the halls of Midtown, looking for Ned or MJ.
He noticed a familiar face, Aiden. He instantly remembered yesterday on the rooftop. He had his headphones on as he usually did. Peter never truly noticed him until now. But something was definitely wrong with Aiden. He seemed, worse, somehow.
Peter felt himself staring, as Aiden made eye contact, walking past Peter. Peter swore he could hear 'Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover' in his own head. Aiden however simply passed Peter.
"Damnit, I really do have a crush on this guy? Don't I?" Peter thought to himself. It felt stupid, Peter barely knew the boy. And Aiden didn't seem to have any interest in him. The bell ringing cut him off, realizing he had to get to American Lit.
~~~
Aiden claimed his usual spot in the back corner. After everyone else got in to the class and the teacher began talking Aiden took off his headphones, mostly zoning out though.
-"With that being said, we'll be starting a book report today with a partner."
Aiden zoned back in, eyes wide.
He knew what this meant. He's be stuck with either the closest social reject next to himself, or the poor soul who had too large a friend group and was kicked out on the streets to find another partner.
He rolled his eyes as he watched students begin to look around at each other, deciding who's working with who through eye contact. This is how it always went.
