"John, he's here." She said in a hushed voice to who Aiden assumed was John as he looked up.
The two stood up, smiling brightly at Aiden.
"Aiden, these are your new foster parents, Rebecca and John Roberts." Molly introduced the two as they stood. John straightened his posture as he let out a cough, and Rebecca held Johns hand. Aiden could tell she was nervous.
Aiden studied the two until it got awkward. He let out a timid "Hi..."
"Hi sweetie, my name's Rebecca. This is John." Rebecca said, pointing to John
John nodded at Aiden as he reached out a hand. Aiden instinctively took a step back. John retracted his hand. Aiden cringed, it was a stupid thing to do, John probably wouldn't hurt him.
"I don't bite, I promise." He smiled as Rebecca elbowed him softly.
"Don't worry, we'll take this step-by-step." She said, not wanting Aiden to feel bad for being afraid. She had read Aiden's file Molly gave her, and the poor kid had been through a lot. She didn't blame him for being skeptical.
Aiden nodded. Kicking at himself internally. He felt so thrown into the situation. He didn't even have time to prepare.
"You must be Ms. Parker." Rebecca said, walking over the May. May seemed to be studying the two as well. Aiden could tell she got the "May Parker approval". May smiled, shaking Rebecca and Johns hand.
Aiden went to sit down as May talked with the two. He heard plenty of "we'll take good care of him"s and other things. They were probably asking for advise, since they probably knew May's situation in the whole ordeal.
"So? Whatcha thinkin'"? Molly asked
"I wish I wasn't thrown into the deep end. But other than that, they seem nice."
"I know it must be difficult to trust people after what you've been through-" Aiden rolled his eyes "-but I wouldn't have picked them if I didn't think you three wouldn't get along. They want nothing more than to help you." Molly said. If Aiden was being honest. That did help. These two probably had to go through all sorts of qualifications to become foster parents.
Aiden nodded at her.
"Thank you, for your help." He said, shooting her a smile.
"Well, it is my job. But I'm always happy to help." She smiled back. "Oh, and here-" She pulled out her purse and grabbed a slip of paper.
