Aiden sat next to Peter on the couch on the Avengers Compound, the Christmas Party was beginning to dwindle. Aiden had his arm around Peter's shoulder, listening to Peter go on about the Chemistry final. Which Aiden was he failed, but his grade could hold.
Aiden chuckled, even during the break Peter couldn't stop thinking about school.
"I just hope I did good- are you listening?" Peter asked
Aiden stared at Peter blankly. No, he wasn't.
"You're so pretty." Aiden offered kind of as a peace offering. Peter rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"Hey, you ready to go? Foster parents gave me a curfew." Aiden said with a frown as he looked at his watch.
Aiden shook hands with Tony, thanking him for having him, and everyone else.
Happy drove the two home, conversation here and there. But relatively quiet. Aiden looked like he was thinking about something, not upset, just deep in thought. Peter wasn't sure about what. And he didn't wanna ask in front of Happy.
Aiden held his present from Peter in his hand as he exited Happys car. Peter watched as Aiden made it half way up the driveway before stopping. He turned around, walking back to the car as Peter rolled down the window.
"Do you wanna go for a walk?" Aiden asked, a questionable look on his face.
Peter nodded instantly. "Of course!"
Peter got out of the car, walking with Aiden as Happy drove off.
"I'm glad you wanted to walk, I wanted to talk to you too." Peter said.
"Oh? About?"
"The mistletoe. I thought you... uh." Peter wasn't sure if he should say it, as it was kind of a touchy topic.
"That I didn't want to go public?" Aiden finished for him.
"Yeah..." Peter said. He wasn't mad that Aiden had done it. He liked it. And he was so happy that Aiden had done it. Since Peter had been ready to shout it to the world since day one. But last he checked. Aiden hadn't wanted to come out to anyone really.
"I guess- in the moment. I didn't care what they thought." Aiden said simply. "I like you Peter, a lot. And that's all I care about."
"I like you too, Aiden. A lot." Peter said with a smile.
"I'm not sure about having people at school know." Aiden added, giving Peter a face hoping that was okay.
"That's totally fine. We have plenty of other places we can be all cute at together." Peter said with a smile
