Aiden walked to his locker, noticing Peter by it. 'Well, he had to talk at one point.' Aiden thought to himself
Peter noticed him as Aiden walked closer
Aiden gave him a nod.
"Hey." Peter said, giving him a pitiful smile
"Hey." Aiden said, smiling awkwardly
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Aiden asked bluntly
Peter dropped the smile
Aiden sighed
"Your Aunt talked to you, didn't she."
Peter nodded
"Figured she would." Aiden said, opening his locker
Aiden grabbed a book out from his locker, shutting it.
He looked at Peter before sighing. He grabbed Peter's hand and dragged him into the bathroom
Peter blushed as he let the boy lead him
They entered the bathroom, Aiden locked the door behind them
Aiden the shut the door to the empty bathroom
"Listen, about yesterday. I'm sorry. It wasn't fair of me to push you and Ned away like that." Aiden said
Aiden sat down on the floor, not caring that they were in the bathroom.
Peter sat next to him.
"I don't.. like talking about it, because it happened like, a long time ago. And it's not a big deal anymore, I'm over it now." Aidens voice began to quiver
"My mom died of cancer." Aiden said wrapping a finger around his brown hair, twirling it. "T-They said not even chemotherapy could've helped, we caught it too late. Like I said, it's fine. I just, miss her, y'know? Recently It's been difficult- without her."
Peter pulled Aiden into a hug, Aiden didn't fight it.
"Hey, I totally understand. I'm sorry if I was prying the other day. You just seemed so upset and I wanted to help." Peter said
"No, I liked that you worried about me, it's sweet." Aiden said
"Yeah! Guess so..." Peter said, following Aiden out

After that, Aiden was worried Peter would treat him like glass, like he was fragile. But he didn't, honestly he thinks that made him like Peter even more. He hadn't thought of acting on his feelings, even if Peter was straight and said no, Peter was a nice guy. But still, there was just this gnawing feeling.
