Chapter 10- Everything is a mess

It was hard for Vegas...so hard. He tried not to think that he made Pete and Atid broke up, but when he saw that little man who was crying every night after they had sex, something was breaking in Vegas's heart

A few weeks passed since Pete agreed with Vegas's proposal. He broke up with Atid, he was meeting with Vegas at the studio during the day and sometimes he had sex with Vegas at Pete's house. Ok, you maybe need some explinations since you're not understanding.

A FEW WEEKS AGO

"Wow, buddy. This concert was awesome" said Kim to Vegas. The man was smiling. The concert was a real succes. He didn't believe that he would be capable to be a star when he started this career and to have so many fans was just a dream of a teen boy. Now, this dream became true and Vegas could only be thankful to Pete and Kim.

"You're right, Kim. I wouldn't be here today if you and Pete weren't by my side"

"You can thank us later, Vegas. Your job isn't finished yet. You still need to take photos with your fans" said Pete who just arrived.

Vegas nodded and went back to the stage where everything was prepared for the pictures that were to be taken. Pete and Kim were looking at the young singer. He was talented! And you could see Vegas' dedication and passion for music. He could be a jerk in some situations, but when it came to his career, Vegas was very dedicated. This was another factor that made Pete's heart beat faster for this man. Pete smiled sadly at the scene. He wished that this whole situation had not been like this. He wished he hadn't gotten together with Atid just to forget Vegas, but now he has to break up with him. He wished that he and Vegas had been together, and that after the concert, Vegas would have come and both of them had gone to a dinner or a walk that would have ended with the two of them in bed, hugging, declaring their love.

But all this was just a fantasy of a man in love. In love with another man who had a relationship with a beautiful young woman, but who still proposed to be friends with benefits. Pete's heart sank at the thought of Daw and Atid. If the young woman ever found out, everything would be destroyed. On some occasions when Pete and Daw were alone and talking, the girl told Pete how much she would like to start a family with Vegas. And Pete just sat, listened and smiled. Because in the depths of his soul he too would have wanted a family with Vegas. He would have sold his soul to the devil to have a part of his dream in which Vegas came home and found Pete with their two children waiting for him in the kitchen with dinner ready.

Pete felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to his left only to see Kim with a worried face.

"Are you okay, buddy?" Kim asked lightly.

Pete just nodded and looked back at the stage. A single tear fell on his soft cheek. He was determined. Tonight he was going to part with Atid. He couldn't go on like this. He was ready to sacrifice himself to stop hurting Daw's brother. Atid was too good for a man like Pete, and Pete knew it. All Pete could hope for was that he would be able to find a good excuse and that Atid would believe him.

AT THE HOTEL, VEGAS AND PETE'S ROOM

The two entered the hotel room, tired after the concert. Vegas had gone to the shower and Pete picked up the phone, ready to break a young man's heart. Vegas's showers were long, and now was Pete's chance. He dialed Atid's number, and when he heard the young man's voice, Pete's heart broke. "I can't go back" he said to himself. So he took a deep breath and the nightmare began.

"Hello my love! I'm glad you called me. How was the Vegas concert?"

"Hey, Atid. The concert went well, it was really a success. But-"

"Oh Pete! I knew you were an extraordinary manager. Vegas is so lucky to have you on his side. As I am also lucky to have you by my side" said Atid, and Pete's eyes were teary.
