After Pete left, Vegas stayed in the same spot for a few minutes, watching the man walk away from him until he was out of sight. Only then did Vegas realize Pete's words. Daw knew everything and worse than that, Pete was going to keep the child who had turned his life upside down. But he had to solve things one by one. The child and Pete could wait a little longer, now he had to solve the problem with Daw. It wasn't going to be easy and they would definitely break up, but that was what they had to do.

"Let's do this" thought Vegas as he slowly started towards his apartment.

ONE HOUR LATER

"Daw, I'm home" came Vegas's voice, but no answer came.

Vegas looked around the kitchen and living room, even in the bathroom, but the girl was nowhere to be found. He went to the bedroom with a last hope, but when he opened the door, a grave silence and a terrible darkness enveloped Vegas. The man turned on the light, and something on the bedside table caught his attention. He went with quick steps to the note and read it cover to cover.

Vegas's eyes filled with tears and he collapsed on the floor, clutching the piece of paper that broke his heart. The artist's heart was broken, just like the beautiful girl's was. Everything had happened because of him. From the fact that he couldn't realize from the beginning that after that night with Pete, he had started to fall in love with him. Now he had lost everything. Daw, Pete, even the unborn child. It was all over for him, and the fault was entirely his.

He stood crying for a few minutes, after which he got up from the floor, still with the ticket in his hand. He folded it and put it in his pocket, then opened the balcony door, sitting on one of the two chairs. He took out his pack of cigarettes that he was holding behind a pot with a large ficus. He hid his cigarettes because he didn't want to smoke to the point of becoming addicted. But now, he really needed a cigarette to clear his thoughts.

He lit the cigarette and let the smoke fill his lungs, after which he exhaled the harmful smoke. Yes, that helps him at the moment, but what was he going to do later? What would follow from now on? Daw had left him, Pete didn't want to hear from him anymore, and Kim had his love problems. He had no one left. So all he had done that night was to smoke until he finished the pack and cry until he fell asleep on the balcony chair. And his dreams were of Pete and a boy with black hair and brown eyes, playing in a yard, and he and Pete were looking at the boy, holding each other. At least let his dreams be happy, if the terrible things he had done were in his pocket and in another apartment.

"I hope you find your happiness someday, Vegas. And when you find it, please keep it. A strong love is above everything. You will always be part of my heart, but everything had to end. I love you so much, even now. Good bye!"

SECOND DAY MORNING, PETE'S APARTMENT

Pete opened his eyes slightly because of the sunlight coming in through the large window in the living room. He stretched out his body numb from overnight, and suddenly he felt a wave of nausea and ran to the toilet as fast as he could. He vomited all the contents of his stomach, then leaned against the wall of the bathroom, catching his breath. As far as he knew about the pregnancy, the first trimester would be like this, and then the nausea would decrease. But until then, he still had to endure.

"Pete, are you okay?" came a young woman's voice.

Pete doesn't answer, being too dazed to form a coherent sentence. The bathroom door opened, and Daw entered, sitting next to the man who was feeling sick. She had given him a glass of water and the supplements recommended by the doctor. Pete thanked her, and breathlessly drank the glass of water.

Pete had asked Daw to stay with him since the girl was determined to break up with Vegas, but she had nowhere to stay. Atid was away on business outside of Thailand, and Pete couldn't leave her without shelter. With many pleas, the girl had accepted, promising Pete that she would help him with everything until the child was born.
