"Hello." Jangmi cautiously clicked the door shut, hesitantly taking the mood of the sour room in.

The smoke cut through her misery and dissuaded her chance to look at the darkness looming on the hat tipped low at the far end of the room. Hyunjoon was nervous and Inspector Yook was tapping his foot with the speed of an unstoppable machine.

Regard was foreign. No one spared glances at her as she entered and stood next to Hyunjoon's seat. A cloud of uncanny smoke blew past her, causing her to meet eyes with Kairo who had been patiently watching her.

Surprised, Jangmi smiled; returned with a melancholic twist of the lips. The little concern in his attention was quite clear. Something else seemed to be weighing on his mind today. In all honesty, the shallowness of heed was never a new phenomenon and Kairo faithfully kept his involvement small enough to see him as a shadow but today was different. Today, he was disconcerted.

The Arabic man was dressed suitably like the concierge of a criminal in the shadows of a fifties movie. His colossal hair fell around his face in fresh waves while he was hallowed by the smoke from his cigar.

Jangmi noticed that the resplendent female was nowhere near the vicinity of the room. The forest leather of the seating saw the emptiness in anxious focus.

Her heart felt a faint knock in her chest when the door opened and Lady Velvet walked in, in her dazzling silver boots that she had unified with a tight black short dress. Her long curly hair was tied behind her neck in a long ponytail.

The tension of the room averted to her, and a renewed chaos brewed as Inspector Yook jumped from his seat agitatedly. His furious steps pounded on the floor before Joo Hyun motioned him to stop and he did.

"I haven't given you permission to stand so close yet, get your feet behind."

A blush empowered Jangmi's cheeks, her heart joyously dancing with her soul. Joo Hyun's reckless speech was just the vicarious fulfilment that she required to push through the day.

Inspector Yook's eyes widened in contorted anger and a sarcastic smirk. He laughed forcibly. "I'm sorry I forgot that you were a woman. You are meant to be stupid. It's not your fault. It's ours."

"What?"

Jangmi's distracted attention was reduced to a flaming score of rage when she identified the misogynistic approach of this man. After committing his need to avenge his sister, how could he say that?

"I couldn't care less about your small-time opinion, you wasted potential." Lady Velvet snarled as she walked around the room and closer to all the seating. "Bark or get stoned."

"Hah." He smirked. "The way your actions have been, the only dog in this room is you. How was your foolproof plan so stupid?"

Joo-Hyun rolled her eyes in painstaking laziness as she placed her bag aside and overlapped her legs.

"Is this about the port?" her eyebrow jumped and Jangmi swore she could see beauty written all over Lady Velvet's face.

"I'm hoping that this is the only thing we should know of," Hyunjoon grunted his presence into life - his smouldering eyes justified.

"Volatility doesn't suit you. You make this look worse than it is. It's not as bad."

"Stop downplaying this. You know all of us can get found out if Taehyung finds out what you did with the money. Does that seem 'not as bad' to you?"

Her glare stood in the way of further conversation. Joo Hyun huffed irritatedly, trailing her forehead all the way to her temple.

"I live with standards given by the King himself. Do you mistake my power to be so minimal?" she sneered. "Taehyung was supposed to find this out soon. That doesn't proffer us being found out."
