Ni-ki sighed as he looked down at the tray of food that he was going to eat. It was on the dusty floor and ruined.

Instead, his bully, Kim Sunoo, stood in front of him, smirking. "Mute idiot." He mused, kicking Ni-ki's shin.

The younger doubled up in pain, he staggered back and bit his lip to stop the tears from falling down his face.

He hated this new school.

He hated his life.

After school, Ni-ki walked out the door and stood out of the school, waiting for his older brother.

"Honestly, what's the point of being here? Should you not be in a special people school?" A voice said from behind him.

Ni-ki did not even have to turn around in order to know that it was Sunoo.

Sunoo taunted Ni-ki for a bit, getting bored after a while and leaving him be.

"Ni-ki!" Ni-ki's older brother, Sunghoon, called. Ni-ki looked up and rushed to Sunghoon, taking him by surprise as he hugged him tightly, tears spilling out of his eyes.

"What's wrong, Kiki?" Sunghoon asked, concerned. Ni-ki hardly ever cried. He always kept his emotions to himself.

Sunghoon was in rage after finding out what Sunoo had been doing to Ni-ki.

There was no way he was going to stand there while his little brother was being hurt in such a way.

The next day, after he finished dropping Ni-ki to school. Sunghoon saw Sunoo walking towards the gates.

"Oi," Sunghoon yelled. Sunoo turned around, he was confused. "What?" He asked sassily.

"Why have you been bullying Ni-ki?" Sunghoon asked with fury. Sunoo blinked at him. "He deserves it. And why do you care anyways?" Sunoo replied coldly.

"He's my brother." Sunghoon responded harshly. "And he comes crying every single day home from school just because you can't stop hurting him and you can't keep your motherfucking mouth shut!" Sunghoon yelled, feeling anger take over.

Sunoo looked stunned, he never thought of how much his actions were affecting Ni-ki.

"And just so you know, Ni-ki never wanted to be mute, obviously. It's not like he asked to be mute. He used to get bullied a lot in his old school, it even got physical sometimes. Don't make the same mistake the rest made by bullying him. He's not okay with it." Sunghoon harshly mused before turning on his heel and storming away.

Sunoo didn't know what to do. Somewhere in his heart, he felt empathy. He never knew that Ni-ki was being that hurt by him.

As he walked into the classroom, he flashed Ni-ki a soft smile to show his peace.

Ni-ki looked surprised but he knew that his older brother had something to do with this.

And as they caught each other's eye in lesson, Ni-ki blushed and looked away.

Sunoo smiled to himself as he stared at Ni-ki. He knew that despite their differences and past, this was the beginning of something special.
