You, Steve, and Dustin collected buckets and buckets of meat and headed to the junkyard. You dropped your motorcycle off at your house and rode in Steve's car. "So how come she gets the front seat?" Dustin complained, breaking the silence of the car ride. "'Cause I'm older, dipshit!"

You opened your phone to Hopper's messages. No texts. You sighed deeply. Steve glanced at your phone, which was opened to all your contacts, which, was very few. "So, who's 'Jimmy Rabbit'?" Steve asked, "And 'The Freak'? And 'Johnny'?" You chuckled lightly. "Umm, 'Jimmy Rabbit' is my dad, Jim Hopper. 'The Freak' is my twin brother, Eddie. And you probably know 'Johnny'. He's Will's older brother, my cousin by marriage or some shit."

"Sooo..." After a long silence, Dustin said, changing the topic, "How was Eddie's last night?" You stayed silent. "Oh, c'mon." Dustin groaned, "Just tell us." Steve looked at you, curious about what your response was gonna be. "It was fine." "C'mon, be a little more detailed than that," Steve begged. "It was fine, and that's all you're getting outta me," you chuckled. After that, Steve was making you laugh the whole way there. You three spent about an hour laying meat out for the Demogorgon until you all arrived at the junkyard.

Steve dumped all the meat out in a pile. "I said medium-well!" Lucas shouted from the hilltop. You all looked over to see Max standing next to Lucas. You heard the star wars theme song playing. "Shit," you muttered under your breath, answering your phone. "Hello?" you asked. "Hey, Blade." Jonathan greeted, "Do you know where Will is?" "I dunno," you replied. "Thanks anyway," he sighed, "I owe you one." "You haven't seen Hopper around, have you?" you replied. "No, I'll let you know if I see him though." he said, "We're still on for tomorrow, right?" he asked. "Yup. Bye. Good luck with Will." you said. "OK, bye. See ya," he replied before hanging up. "Who was that?" Dustin asked. "None of your damn business." you replied, "Let's get to work."

You all spent an hour gathering scrap metal and supplies. All of you got in the broken-down bus. Lucas went to the top to be the lookout. "So you've actually fought one of these before?" Max asked out of the silence. You looked at her and pointed to you then Steve as if to ask the question "Me or him?" She raised her eyebrows in expectation as if to say "Both." You nodded your head 'yes' and Steve did the same. "No, you didn't." Dustin scoffed at you. "I was fighting  with Jonathan while you ate chocolate pudding,  ya dipshit," you told him. Max looked at him in joking disbelief. "Why are you even here if you don't believe us? Just go home." Dustin outbursted at Max. "Dustin." you warned, then mouthed 'be nice.' "Oh, look who's talking." He started to get mad at you. "I'm mean to people who are douchebags," you stated simply. "So I'm a douchebag now?" Dustin argued. Max sighed and went up the ladder with Lucas. "No, no, you're not." you said in defense, "I never said that." "Yes, you did!" he exclaimed, "Just now! You said you're only mean to douchebags!" You sighed, "Dustin, do you realize how nice I am to you? I have beat up every single living being on the planet that has ever picked on you." "Yeah, I guess there's that, too," he muttered. "We cool?" you asked. He had a few tears in his eyes. He ran to you and buried his face in your stomach. "Yeah, we're cool." he cried, his voice muffled by your six-pack.

"I've got eyes! Ten o'clock! Ten o'clock!" Lucas yelled from on top of the bus. Dustin wiped his tears and pushed out of the hug. You looked down at your wet hoodie as Steve and Dustin ran to the window. "There," Steve muttered. "What's he doin'?" Dustin asked. "I dunno." Steve whispered, "He's not takin' the bait. Why's he not takin' the bait?" "Maybe he's not hungry?" Dustin wondered. "Or he got sick o' cow," Steve said.

You went to the door and grabbed Steve's bat. "What're you doin'?" Dustin asked. "Can I come?" Steve asked. "I don't give a fuck, just be quick and quiet, jackass." "Be ready," Steve told Dustin, tossing him the lighter. You opened the door, Steve followed you out, and you closed it. You walked to where the pile of meat was. The low growling echoed throughout the whole junkyard. The Demogorgon approached you. "Henderson." Steve warned, "There's, like, five over here too." "Shit!" you said. "Abort! Abort!" Everyone yelled from the bus. Steve started running to the bus. The Demogorgons paid no attention at all to him. The same Demogorgon jumped at you. You smashed the bat into his face and laughed maniacally. You ducked from the Demogorgon jumping at your face. Suddenly, there was a loud howling, and all the Demogorgons retreated.

"Well, I'll be damned." you sighed, walking to the bus. "What...happened?" Lucas asked. "Blade scared 'em off?" Dustin guessed. "They're goin' somewhere," you stated.
