Meg Murry is an American surgeon and singer. She is best known as the daughter of groundbreaking astrophysicist Alex Murry and the wife of Chad Stuart of the hit making British duo, Chad & Jeremy. She was also the best friend of basketball hall-of-famer Calvin O'Keeffe and Sam Pan of Sam & Robin fame.
Early life:
Murry was born Margaret Annabel Murry on April 13th 1948 in Anaheim California. She came from a scientific background as her parents, Alex and Kate, were both physicist.
When Murry was ten years old, her parents discovered the Tesseract, a way to travel the universe with the mind. Her father went missing for four years after the method was discovered.
"That was sort of the big deal in my family's history. No one knew exactly where or how my father disappeared. I was getting made fun of at school and just broke down because I missed him so much. My life just didn't make sense without him" said Murry in 1970.
Murry and her little brother Charles rescued Alex from another planet, which was confirmed their first official adventure.
In school, Murry was the classmate of Calvin O'Keeffe, who later went on to become one of the most well-known basketball players in America.
In 1962, the Murrys and O'Keeffe met 13-year-old Sam Pan and had an adventure with her, which led to frequent gatherings that eventually made her a member of their social circle. Murry and O'Keeffe were planning to marry then, but meeting Pan steered O'Keeffe's love life in another direction. Nevertheless, Murry and Pan were inseparable besties.
"Sam and I were great great friends. We just had different mindsets and different careers. She's really big in pop culture (singing and such), and I'm a surgeon. She was also a police sergeant in her early working years, so we rarely saw each other. But we were very dear friends" said Murry in 2003.
Shortly afterwards, Murry's extreme scientific knowledge impressed so many adults, they immediately had her apply to be a surgeon. Murry wanted to get a degree in surgery, but every college she applied to said she already knew enough about science to have every degree she could ever need. This makes Murry the youngest surgeon to ever walk this planet.
Leaving America:
Shortly after getting her new surgeon job, Murry discovered that she was the only one in her social group that never fell in love.
That is, until her friends bought tickets to watch the Beatles perform.
"I had never heard of the Beatles. I never listened to rock and roll growing up; my parents wouldn't allow me to. I admitted this to my friends, and they immediately said I had to learn and they took me to see the Beatles. And that was sort of a breakthrough for me because I ended up playing some role in the boys' lives" said Murry in 1984.
Murry, her brother, Pan and O'Keeffe saw the Beatles perform in England, then met them after the show. But it wasn't the show they expected because Sir Paul McCartney was absent due to a depression attack.
The other three told the four kids about it and took them to their flat to meet McCartney, whose interest was instantly struck by Murry.
"I was not expecting it. These boys came by and just told us we were their favorite audience members because we were calm. And then they let us come home with them because their fourth member was incapacitated. And when I meet their fourth member, he's crying and starving, and he lets me into his room. Only me. It was weird, but I'm glad it happened because I got to know this wonderful person" said Murry in 1968.
Murry's group became very close friends with the Beatles, which led to them leaving America officially and moving to England to live with the lads. They lived in the backstage area of the Cavern Club for a long time as it was starting to become less popular for bands.
