Greg Page was an Australian musician and actor. He's best known for being one of the Wiggles.

Early life:

Gregory John Page was born on January 16th 1939 in Sydney Australia.

Page grew up listening to guitar groups and even played in some bands in high school.

In college, he met and befriended Anthony Field and guitarist Murray Cook. The three of them were studying early education.

He also met Bethany Walker whom he married right after he graduated from college.

Career:

In the early 50s, Page, Field, Cook and Jeff Fatt formed the kids band the Wiggles.

With new songs like Get Ready to Wiggle, Hot Potato, Fruit Salad and Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car, the Wiggles were a roaring success.

After their first movie was released in 1957, the Wiggles met and befriended young Sam Pan on the street.

"When we met her, she explained that she had been roaming the world all alone for four years. We couldn't let her do that for much longer so we took her in" said Page in 1998.

In 1958, Pan left Wiggletown.

"When we found out she was gone, I was the first to realize it. When the other three found out, uh... Jeff stood there with his mouth open. Anthony was asking why over and over. And Murray completely freaked out. He bursted in tears and ran inside the house" said Page in 1970.

In 1964, the Wiggles were planning to go live with the iconic band the Beatles.

And the Wiggles didn't expect this but the Beatles brought their best friends and Pan was one of them.

"We were almost shocked when Sam came back with the Beatles. She was still mad at Murray but it was worth it because a bunch of adventures made up for it" said Page in 1987.

Page spent a lot of his time with Pan's best friend Meg Murry.

"I love Meg. She is a very wonderful girl. She seemed to like the Wiggles from the beginning while the other three weren't used to it. I liked that about her so we became fast friends" said Page in 2000.

When Murry's mother passed away, her brother and friends stayed with the Wiggles until the Beatles could calm her down.

"We were fine with looking after the other kids when Meg was very sad. Luckily, they managed to become friends with us by then so it was alright" said Page in 1971.

Later life:

In the 80s, the Wiggles disbanded.

Page was diagnosed with a heart condition called orthostatic intolerance.

So he didn't have much of a career since the 90s because he wanted to manage his health.

Page kept losing his friends as the 80s and 90s passed.

He lost Fatt in 1989, Charles Murry in 1992, Pan in 1996 and Cook in 2000.

"With most of my best friends gone, I have no idea what I'm to do. Because you remember everything you did with your best friends but then you can't do anything with them anymore" said Page in 2001.

However, he remained friends with Meg Murry and Calvin O'Keeffe and their spouses.

Death:

In 2002, Page collapsed in front of an audience. He thought it had something to do with his condition.

But it turned out he was suffering from cardiac arrest.

Page died in a hospital across the street from the place he collapsed at.

However, his legacy lived on as all of the Wiggles' legacy did.
