The Girl From the Car

I'm neither a doctor nor a car crash expert so bear with me.

I looked up as much as I could but the internet is not always right

So her it goes....

Third Person POV

 It all happened in slow motion.

Liam slammed on the brake making the other car collide into the hood of their car on Sophie's side. The car spun making the tires screech as Liam tried to control the car. It didn't work as the car flipped two times landing on Sophie and Cecilia's side.

The car finally stopped moving.

As did everyone in it.

Liam looked down slowly seeing the air bag deflating; he turned his head slowly as the pain was too much to see Sophie passed out. But that's not what scared him, the glass in her chest did. He looked and saw her window and the windshield were broken and glass was everywhere.   

He looked back at the kids, seeing Cecilia and Ross out as well. They were all on the passenger side of the car. Through the ringing in his hears he could hear Tyler crying and Fae trying to get her seatbelt off.

Meanwhile the car that was stopped at the light on the other side got out of their car calling 911 and running over to the car. The car that hit them was stopped with the front dented and windshield broken.

"Dad, mom!" Fae cried trying to get the seat belt off. "Ross, Cecilia wake up!"

"Fae" Liam said hoarsely "Sweetie calm down, keep your seatbelt on"

"Dad!" she sobbed "The seatbelt hurts, and my wrist, and something is poking my side"

"The seatbelt is holding you up, keep it on" he said weakly. The lady who called 911 finally made it to the car and looked inside seeing a full car and panicked.

"Help is on its way stay calm" the young lady said she was about 19 as she looked at the car seeing all the kids

"When?" Liam coughed out

"Soon- Mr. Payne?" the girl asked in shock seeing her 4th grade assistant teacher.

Layla, Liam remembered the girl. She was there when Liam proposed to Sophie. He couldn't say anything though because sirens were heard and the lights were shining bright. Ambulances and cop cars pulled up to the scene and the paramedics quickly jumped out of the ambulances.

"Miss what happened?" one of the paramedics asked Layla as the other went to car

"The guy over there ran the red light and hit them" Layla explained pointing to the still nonmoving car. One of the paramedics ran over to the stopped car and looked inside seeing a man passed out cold with a bottle of gin in his hand.

"He's drunk!" a paramedic called making the cops run over and deal with the guy. The other paramedics were carefully trying to tip the car back to lay flat. When they finally got it they pried the doors open they took everyone out. They took Tyler out handing him to a paramedic who took him to an ambulance checking him.

They next took Liam out asking him questions.

"Sir what hurts?"

"Are these kids yours?"

"Can you move your arm?"

He answered all truthfully while they brought three gurneys and took Ross out of the car carefully laying him on one of the gurneys. They wheeled him to an ambulance putting him in and driving away with Fae also in the ambulance. They had Liam get into the ambulance with Tyler and they had Cecilia on a gurney in the ambulance as well.
