I wanted to scream at this very moment. The people around me would care if I screamed but at this moment I wouldn't because they are driving me insane. Parents with their screaming children (if only I could be one to get my frustration out), teenagers whining about wanting to go home to their parents, rude people shoving me around as they pass by me, and old people giving me glares as I try to maneuver in the crowded store. God, I hate Christmas shopping. When I was younger I didn't mind it, but that was when I never had to spend my own money and when I didn't have to actually do it.
Gripping the handle bar of the buggy tighter and tighter as I walked to the kids section of Target, I kept my pace fast and tried not to run into any slow or nonmoving people as they looked at things to buy. I also ignored Eli yelling for me to wait for her, but once I got in the kids' section I stopped and waited for her finally. Once she got beside me I got slapped on the shoulder.
"Bitch," Eli muttered as we walked down on of the isles.
"Jerk," I replied and stopped walking, grabbing a Frozen coloring book that my niece might want. I'll have to see if she already has it, though. With my family there is no telling right now unless I talk to everyone at this very moment. "Christmas shopping is the worst." I pull out my phone and go to the family group message, asking everyone if I can still get the coloring book for Bella.
Eli chuckled and picked up a Thomas the Train Engine set. "I think everyone agrees with that. Even the workers, possibly dealing with rude people more than usual."
"Yeah, I feel sorry for them. But they get good money," I say. I unlock my phone and read the few messages that I had gotten.
