"Stella, it's not Asmodeus. It's someone else." Magnus told me
"Wait? Start from the beginning." I said
"Magnus and I went to Lorenzo's house. I distracted him while Magnus checked the ley lines. It wasn't Asmodeus who is messing with the warlock's magic, but someone else." Alec explained
"Alec, you sneaked into a house? Where was this Alec growing up?" Jace said
"Who could it be?" I asked
Before we could answer, Magnus got a call.4
"It's Catarina." He said before answering
"Cat-" he started.
"We're on our way." He said.
"What happened?" Alec asked.
"Catarina's magic was affected. She's at the hospital." He said.
"Alec, you and Magnus go. I need to watch Madzie." I said.
"Alright. Be/ safe." Alec safe kissing me. magnus followed his action as I watch them leave.

I was reading a book when Magnus came inside.
"Alec needs us at the Institute. He has a way to fix things." He told me
"Alright but we are doubling the wards on Madzie's room." I said
We put the words up before appearing at the Institute.
"you're gonna use the Angelic Core? Are you serious?!" Raj asked
"This is our only chance to stop the corruption. We're gonna flood the ley lines with angelic energy. Put an end to this once and for all." Alec told them
"So your plan is basically divine Drano?" Clary asked
Alec sighed before bringing up the hologram of the Institute.
"The only problem is the Institute is not built on any ley lines... at least it's not yet. That's where Magnus and Stella come in." Alec said
Magnus and I both step forward, with Magnus taking lead.
"We know a spell that'll allow us to temporarily divert the flow of magic at the core. Once the ley lines in place, you'll tap into the core, and we can kiss the demonic corruption goodbye." Magnus explained with the hologram
"Right. And what happens if a demon shockwaves hits while you're using your magic? the core... will be totally exposed." Raj said
"Well, that doesn't look good." Jace said
"If we're lucky, it'll only vaporize the Institute." I said
"But what if we're not lucky?" Isabelle asked
"Better not to think about it." I told her
"This is a risk we have to take." Alec said
"The whole point of building the Institute away from the ley lines was to avoid something like this. Why not just quarantine the warlocks outside the city?" Raj said poiting at us.
"What does Raj have against warlocks?" Simon asked
"Don't know. Most shadowhunters are raised to know our enemy. Some of us know better and other's not so much." Isabelle said
"Because kicking innocent people out of their homes isn't going to solve anything." Alec calmly told him
"Neither will be blowing up the institute!" Raj yelled
"Who do you think you are... quarantining Downworlders!" Isabelle exclaimed
"You can't just go around... by saying those things?!" Clary exclaimed
"That's enough! This isn't just about the warlocks. You know what happened at the hospital. Everyone is at risk. We are under siege by a greater demon. It is our job to solve this problem. Evacuate the Institute. Essential personnel stay behind." Alec ordered
God, I love this man. As everyone left, Alec showed us to the core.
"You sure about this?" Magnus asked
"You got a better idea?" Alec asked
"Magnus and I could try it on our own. It'd be more difficult but at least you'll be safe." I said
"And let y'all hog all the glory?" Alec asked
"Maybe." Magnus said
"As long as you are both here, I'm not going anywhere." Alec said looking at us
"Well then, let's get started." Magnus said
"Let's my dear." I said
We summoned our magic conveying the ley lines to the core.
"A little further." Alec said
We kept pushing, but it was getting stronger.
"Now!" We yelled
"Alexander, we can't hold it much longer. Do it now!" Magnus yelled
"I can't... someone's locked me out!" Alec told us
"Alec!" I yelled
"We need to release the energy manually!" Alec said
"Well whatever you do, do it quickly!" I said as we contained the magic
"Alexander!" We yelled
"I'm working on it. It's rusted." He said
I kept pushing, using my chaos magic. Slowly, I let my magic spread to Magnus, giving him more strength. Finally, I felt the burst of energy. I slowly fell back, alongside Magnus. Alec came up to us.
"I did it." Alec said
"You did it?" We asked snarky.
"Yeah! Well, maybe... Maybe I got a little help." Alec said
"Damn, right you did." I told him.
"I am loving this, big brother. You even make jokes now." Isabelle said.
"Uh-huh." We said as I leaned more into Alec's arm.
We went home after we regained more of our energy. I checked on Madzie, making sure she was still asleep, before joining the boys outside. Alec handed me a drink.
"He is." I said agreeing to their statement
"Whatever corrupted those ley lines is still out there. And Lorenzo has to stop blaming you for being Asmodeus's son and help us track the demon who's responsible." Alec said
"Asmodeus's son!?" The shadowhunter's yelled
"Yes, I am his son." Magnus told them
"Alexander... about my father. I hope you don't think less of me." Magnus told him
I smiled knowing Alec would never do that.
"Are you kidding me? I don't care who your dad is. I care who you are. And you're the furthest thing from a greater demon." he said kissing him
"Alexander is right, Magnus. We are not our parents. We are us. And you my darling are perfect." I told him
"Thank you, my loves. I needed to hear that." He said kissing me
We finished our drinks before going to bed.
