Part 5

The bell rang for everyone to go home, and Jasmine was the first one to leave, "Jasmine wait!" she herd Orihime say but she didn't listen and carried on running. Jasmine kept running and finally found somewhere to stay for the night, she would stay in different places so no one would know where she was from the Soul Society. She found a tree that looks like it will hold her for the night, she was about to climb up but someone stopped her, "your going to hide in a tree from us?" it was Ichigo, "did you follow me?" she said getting angry, "what is wrong with you people I just went to school for you lot, just leave me alone" Jasmine said about to climb again but he stopped her again, "but why are you climbing a tree?" he asked, "to set up my bed, those leaves will do for the night" Jasmine said and tried again, but again he stopped her, "will you go away!" she shouted, "just let Orihime help you, she is home right now setting up her spare room for you so you have somewhere to stay" Ichigo explained, "why would she do that?" Jasmine asked confused, "it's what she does for her friends" Ichigo said and Jasmine didn't know what to say. "I'm here to try and convince you to go live with her" Ichigo said, "I'm not living with anybody" Jasmine said to him, "listen to me, I don't know why your cold with everyone and I know for a fact your not gonna tell me, but your on your own, and she is offering to be your friend, and I'd like to be your friend too" he said and Jasmine was taken back by that, "you don't know me, none of you do" Jasmine said, "look maybe we should call your husband and tell him your safe, because it looks like you won't be going back to him any time soon" Ichigo said, "how did you know I was married, did Orihime tell you" Jasmine said getting angry, "your wearing a wedding ring, people are talking about it at school," Ichigo said, "saying what" she said stepping towards him, "just saying your very young to get married, I think the reason your here  is because maybe he mistreated you, and you ran away" Ichigo said, and Jasmine had enough, she went over and pushed him so hard he fell to the floor, "my husband has never mistreated me, he was the most loving man I had ever met, he was kind and gentle even after dying in my arms!" she screamed at him. Ichigo was shocked at what she said, he had no idea what she had been through, and now he knew why she was cold towards others, she was heartbroken. "Just please, leave me alone" Jasmine said and ran away as fast as she could.

It was the next day, and Ichigo couldn't get Jasmine out of his head, he was worried where she stayed last night as he couldn't find her. It was time for him to get ready for school, but as he left his house, Orihime was waiting for him outside, "you didn't find her?" Orihime said worried, "no, I have no idea where she could have gone" he said and started to walk to school with Orihime. As they were walking they were still hoping to see Jasmine on the way, and too their luck they did, she was sitting at the lake where Orihime first found her, "it's where she was yesterday" Orihime said to Ichigo. "You head over to school, I'll catch up" Ichigo said and Orihime nodded and walked away. Ichigo sighed and walked towards Jasmine, "I'm starting to think the people in this town don't listen to others" Jasmine said as Ichigo sat down next to her. "I used to come here a lot when I was a kid, after my Mom died" he said, and Jasmine looked at him with sadness, "I'm sorry to hear" Jasmine said looking back out to the lake, "and I'm sorry about your husband, I'm sure he was a good man" he said, and Jasmine thought back to how loving Kaien was towards her, she remembered the day he asked her to marry him, and her heart melted, "yeah, he was" she said pulling her knees closer. "Can I ask you something?" he said, and Jasmine nodded, "how did you get married at such a young age?" he asked, Jasmine didn't know what to say, she couldn't tell him how old she actually was, and she couldn't reveal she was a Soul Reaper either, "it's complicated" she said and Ichigo nodded. Jasmine started to feel a bit of pain in her chest, she thought maybe it was her gigai that Kisuke gave her when she first came to the world of the living. "Are you ok Jasmine?" Ichigo asked, "yeah, just have to pay someone a visit later" she said rubbing her chest. 

"Are you gonna come to school?" Ichigo asked, "do I have to?" Jasmine rolled her eyes, "no but, it's a chance to make friends, you could take Orihime's offer and live with her, so you have a roof over your head, and we can be friends," Ichigo explained, "I can't be friends with you" Jasmine said looking at him, and Ichigo was confused, "why not" he asked, "because you remind me too much of someone" Jasmine said standing up and walking away. "Please come to school, we all want to be your friend, no one should be alone Jasmine" he said, and Jasmine had a flash back of Kaien, 'I can't stand the thought of you being alone Jasmine,' she then looked back at Ichigo, and saw kindness in his eyes, "fine" Jasmine said, "really?" Ichigo asked surprised, "but don't expect me to be chirpy like everyone at that school" Jasmine said as she began to walk towards the school with Ichigo catching up to her. Once they got there Jasmine sighed as she looked at the building, and Ichigo wanted help her in any way he could. "Jasmine" she herd Orihime say as she ran up to her, "hi" Jasmine said bluntly, "everyone is up on the roof, shall we go meet them?" Orihime asked, "there are more?" Jasmine asked as she sighed, Orihime grbbed her hand and dragged her inside the building and onto the roof, "everyone, this is Jasmine Shiba" Orihime introduced her, and people came up to meet her and got to know her, meanwhile Ichigo was watching her with a smile on his face, he was happy that Jasmine finally gave them a chance. 

"So Jasmine your gonna live with Orihime?"a boy called Keigo asked her, "I guess" Jasmine said sitting on the ground of the roof, "we are gonna have so much fun together Jasmine, I've always wanted a roommate" Orihime said getting excited. "Where are you from Jasmine?" a large boy called chad asked her, "around" Jasmine said looking down at her hands. Suddenly the bell rang for first class, "let's go Jasmine" Orihime said and Jasmine followed her with Ichigo behind. "Well done Jasmine" he said to her, "what do you mean?" she asked confused, "you made loads of friends today, I'm proud of you, now you won't be alone" he said and walked ahead of leaving Jasmine shocked at what he said. Then she thought back to Kaien, maybe he would be proud to.
