FOUR MONTHS OF NOTHING, LEFT NATALIA BEYOND ANGRY.

There's no sign of Erica and Boyd- and (thankfully) no sign of Atticus, either.

Nothing.

She's been practically grasping at straws these past few months; searching far and wide for any sign of them. She's followed lead after lead, and anytime that she thought she was getting close, she would lose their scent completely and would end up right back at the start.

Stiles, who Natalia's began to rely (even more) heavily on, since her revelation with him four months ago, when she had cried into his arms and realised how much him, Noah, Scott and Melissa really mean to her- had been searching for leads on her father. He's also had no success (not that Natalia really expected that much from him anyway- Stiles, while he may be good at research, is not experienced with her father and his intricate way of thinking).

Nat, after a lot of convincing on Stiles' part, talked to Noah- not about Atticus and his freedom (No- no way! Natalia hasn't told anyone, but Stiles, about that. And she'd practically threatened to murder him, if he so much as uttered the name 'Atticus' to anyone, but herself!). What she had talked to Noah about, was what her position in the search for Erica and Boyd would be. Noah, for the past few months, had deemed her 'too close' with the subjects in the investigation for her to be officially involved (Which she finds very hypocritical, seeing as no one seemed to have a problem with both Noah and Raphael working on her case!) But, with a little persuasion, Natalia had managed to get herself slightly in the doorway, as Noah had told her that: 'She could be apart of the case, but only as a researcher, and she would always have to stay at the station during searches' (Natalia had stopped listening after 'She could be apart of the case' and took it as Noah's way of saying, that she could use police resources to help locate both Erica and Boyd). And Noah, being the intelligent man that he is, must have known that she'd only listen to the things she'd want to hear, as he added with a exasperated sigh, 'But, what you do outside of your C.I. hours- as long as it's not illegal, and doesn't harm anyone- isn't any of my business.'

Natalia had smiled gratefully, despite the fact that she wasn't there to ask for his permission to look for Erica and Boyd. (She'd been doing it for at least three weeks at that point without his permission, and she was perfectly content to continue on doing so).

While she was talking to him, she never at all mentioned, or hinted, at her past distrust in him- it still shames her now to think about how quickly she was willing to give up the family that she has built for herself here, as soon as Atticus's name appeared in her life again.
