IF SOMEONE WOULD'VE TOLD NAT A MONTH AGO THAT SHE'D BE RIGHT BACK WHERE SHE STARTED- WITH HER FATHER- SHE WOULD'VE LAUGHED AND OFFERED TO CALL UP EICHEN HOUSE FOR THEM.

But alas, here, she sits in this dark living room, holding a hand-towel to her bleeding face, her father sat silently in front of her, observing her blankly as though he hadn't just made her bleed right on the very floor between them.

Just the oppressive feel of his eyes on her figure makes her skin crawl and her heart pound ferociously, something she's felt every day of her life, since her father turned into a destructive, self-serving monster.

Being here with him makes her feel like nothing has changed; she played right into his hands- something she knew she was doing when she was driving here, but continued on regardless. Sitting in this twisted present with him physically in front of her, shocks her, and she quickly realises that a small part of her really thought she's gotten it wrong, that this man in the black-hood wasn't her father, but some name-less dude with some strange resentment against her. It was foolish to think so, but even she can't help her traitorous mind from running wild sometimes.

She'd been so blinded by her desperation to save Noah, that she'd walked right into his trap. She's sure, more than anything, that Atticus is pissed she didn't put up a bigger fight, but she knows better than to do that now.

He always got his way in the end, and him being out of prison (somehow) further reinforces that claim.

Her actions tonight were stupid. Reckless. She knows that. But, she said it herself when she was talking to Derek about Kali a few nights ago, on the same night Boyd had died: 'desperation makes people make bad choices.', and she meant it both ways. Her and Kali.

If she closes her eyes right now, she can almost imagine that things are the same as they always were. No Erica, no Beacon Hills, no werewolves, no Noah.

In this moment, she wishes she never came back. If she'd have stayed in New York, with Atticus, maybe Erica, Tara, and Boyd would be alive, maybe Noah would be safe...The only reason he was chosen to be a sacrifice is because of her, after all, he's going to die because of her- no! No, Atticus said he'd show her where he was. That for some reason, he'd help direct her to where Noah is.

A part of her mind whispers warnings of trusting his word, she knows better than that. Promises mean nothing to the man- word and honour mean nothing- but, she has no choice. She can't save him if she doesn't know where he is, and if all she has to do to find out is play nice (-ish) with the man in front of her, then so be it.
