"STAY STILL!" NAT LAUGHS AS SHE GRIPS A PENCIL LIGHTLY IN HER HAND, DESPERATELY TRYING TO CONTROL THE SHAKING OF HER SHOULDERS AS LAUGHTER INFECTS HER BODY.

"I am!" Erica whines, her smile just as bright as, if not brighter then, the sun that beams down on the two girls through Erica's bedroom window, "I've just got a really bad cramp in my leg!"

"Only a little longer, I promise." Nat replies with a chuckle, looking up from her piece of paper to send her girlfriend a toothy-grin.

They've been sat like this for a while now, Erica pretending to be annoyed at being the object of Nat's affection, while Nat, dismissing the girl's feigned irritation with a grin and an amused shake of her head, tries to sketch her portrait.

"Are you done yet?" Erica questions, poorly concealed excitement rising in her chest. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't eager to see the final piece! She's has seen Nat's earlier work (mostly creations from her forging days of paintings that never failed to take her breath away every time she saw them- on most occasions, Erica would even go as far and say that they were better than the originals!), and was simply awe struck with Nat's natural talent at drawing and painting.

She's almost jealous of Nat's natural ability to bring a piece of art to life with her unique skills.

And when she told her as much, Nat had blushed a dark shade of red, a shy-smile sliding onto her face (one that seemed so out of place, on her normally grinning lips). From then on, Erica makes sure to always slip in compliments to the girl, relishing in her ability to make Nat blush for once.

"Nearly." Nat mutters, fully immersing herself in her work- another thing Erica loves (mostly because it gives her time to admire her, but also because of the passionate devotion Nat puts into every piece of art she creates).

Silence falls over the room for a beat, the only sounds being pencil scratches and their soft breathing.

Erica breaks the comfortable peace, asking, "What about now?"

"Erica," Nat playfully scolds, "As much as I love listening to your voice, I won't be able to get it done if you keep talking."

Erica smiles sheepishly at her comment, before it slowly turns into a smug grin, "You love my voice?"

Nat snorts, rolling her eyes and using the excuse that she's trying to focus on her drawing as to not answer Erica, allowing said girl to gush over the compliment in silence, pure bliss on her face as she watches Nat carefully sketch her face and body out onto paper.

It's perfect- everything is how it should be. Erica is healthy (something Nat knows has been a lifelong wish for Erica), Nat is happy, and the Kanima hasn't been sighted since the party, giving the two girls more than enough time to catch up and rekindle their love (and show each other how much they really did miss each others touch...).
