Thank you for clicking on my book, I promise you will not be disappointed!
This book has a TOTAL of 89,667 words. It equivalates to 272 pages (8" by 14") at size 11 font. In a real book, the formatting would probably end with closer to 300-315 pages.
This is a Shoto Todoroki x Reader I started when I was entering the 9th grade, as I am writing this, I have graduated high school! I never wrote an intro-chapter to this book, and I decided to include one now. Better late than never!
My inspiration for this book series was to provide you lovely readers with a My Hero Academia fanfiction that has never been written before (to my knowledge).
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of My Hero fanfics on this app/website, yet I was always disappointed by a few main things.
1) Very poor grammar, plot, and solid backgrounds (characters don't make sense).
2) The love interest and reader/OC don't get together until the LAST chapter - or the romance is rushed and happens way too quickly.
3) The main character typically has a boring quirk, or one that has been used numerous times before. There is nothing wrong with having a typical quirk, but once you've read twenty different fanfics all with the same elemental quirk user plot, it gets a bit boring.
4) The author uses their own OC as the basis for the MC (reader-insert) and it is very obvious, or, they add their OC into the story in a way which is not fluid or makes any sense to the overall plot.
5) All of the good romance scenes/stories are in one-shot books, not long form books, and that made me sad.
So, in order to solve these trifles of mine, I realized I'd just have to write my own story.
I present to you, a long-form Shoto Todoroki x Reader where they get together BEFORE the end of the book (a normal paced romance), the MC has a unique quirk, I included an OC (the MC's brother) in a way where he makes sense in the story and, according to the comments, deserves a book of his own ;), the plot follows the MHA plot with sub-plots I made myself which fit well into the overall story, and as the winner of several National English Honor Society writing awards for short stories - I'd say my writing is up to par.
I have re-read this story several times since, and there are a few typos here and there, I apologize in advance, but they are few and far between.
That being said, I hope you enjoy my book, as many others have.
