Todoroki sat next to Y/n's bed, holding her hand in his. Worry creasing his brows and etching a deep frown onto his face.

He was berating himself over and over. 'How could I be so stupid!'

Moments later Tadashi ripped open the door and hurried over to her side. He had sweat dripping down his forehead and his tie was loosened as he panted, not used to sprinting such a long distance. But he would run to the ends of the earth to be by Y/n's side.

His face somehow turned even more worried at the sight of her, but his breathing began to steady.

Recovery Girl walked in and immediately consulted the two, "She'll be okay. Sore, and in pain, but okay."

Todoroki and Tadashi sighed in relief at her words, but couldn't take their eyes off of Y/n.

Her arms, knees, and stomach were covered in bandages. Recovery Girl chose not to heal those completely as she focused her quirk on her head and neck, which were completely shattered upon impact.

Luckily, Recovery Girl managed to perform some emergency surgery with the help of Cementoss blocking them from the crowd's view - which saved Y/n's life.

And what's keeping her alive currently, just so happens to be the very engine that she created.

Aizawa and Present Mic came to check with Recovery Girl to make sure Y/n was okay. Aizawa didn't think he'd be able to announce the death of Y/n, knowing how guilty he'd feel when her parents last words to him were, "Please protect her." luckily he wouldn't have to, she would recover. And announcing that to the crowd filled everyone with relief. Present mic wasn't exaggerating when he called Y/n "Japan's Sweetheart", if something bad happened to her, the entire country would be in tears. Fortunately, that wasn't to be the case today.

After the battle ended, Todoroki was pronounced the winner as there was no way Y/n could fight in the next round despite the fact that her plan did actually work, and he was knocked out of bounds. The next round between Bakugou and Todoroki was postponed for the time being, everyone's top priority being Y/n.

Recovery Girl looked solemnly at Tadashi and Todoroki, she sighed, "I don't say this often, but Y/n is an angel. All she's ever worked for was the better of everyone else, making sure no one was left out, and that everyone could live in peace. The world isn't going to let her leave, at least not right now. It needs her. We need her. This whole damn society needs her. She'll be fine. Trust me."

Recovery Girl left to go attend to some of the 3rd years that were injured from their tournaments leaving Tadashi and Todoroki alone; except for Y/n of course.

Todoroki's eyes filled with tears and his voice cracked as he spoke, "I'm so sorry."

Tadashi shook his head, "It's not your fault. You were just protecting yourself, you wanted to win."

Todoroki almost seemed to cry more, "It's not just that. I've been so awful to her! She's the best thing that's ever happened to me and I pushed her away!"

Tadashi's eyebrows raised in surprise at the new information, "Why?"

Todoroki looked up at him, "Because I thought I already lost."

Tadashi gave him a confused look and urged him to elaborate. "The other day, I found out she had been training with Bakugou every day. And he told me that Y/n and him were together. And he told me that if I continued to be friends with her, I'd never get to talk to her ever. Plus, my father forced me to focus on only my training, and not worry about her."
