I was confused as to what Y/n was talking about, but I shrugged it off and waited for Midnight to tell us about the next event.

"Only the top 42 will make it into the next round! But don't worry if you didn't make the cut, we've prepared other opportunities for you to shine."

"Now the real fun is about to begin!"

"The chance to move yourselves into the limelight, give it your best!"

"Let's see what we have in store for you next! Could your wildest fantasies come to life? Or could it be that the waiting is torture?"

The screen stopped on 'Calvary Battle'.

Several people gasped in excitement or surprise, and others groaned in annoyance. "Aw man! I suck at those!"

"Allow me to explain, the participants will form teams of 2-4 as they see fit. In theory it's the same as a regular playground game, the difference is each player had been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course."

"The point values are made in increments of 5, starting from the bottom. For example the person in 42nd place is assigned with 5 points, the person in 41st is worth 10."

"And the contestant in 1st place has a point value worth...

10 Million!"

I felt my stomach drop. "Uh... 10 million...?"

"That's right. Its survival of the fittest where those at the bottom have a chance to overthrow those at the top!"

I could feel everyone's stares as they figured out ways to take me out.

"Dang it Y/n... how'd you know?!" I mumbled.

I cringed when Midnight yelled "10 million". Poor Midoriya. At least he'll have me, I already promised him that, no turning back now.

Once Midnight started the timer for us to make our teams, I walked over to Midoriya.

He half glared at me, which made me laugh, "How'd you know this was going to happen?" He asked in disbelief.

I shook my head, "If you've watched any of the other Sports Festivals you'd know that in the second round those that finished well in the first round were at a disadvantage. With a huge disadvantage being placed on the first place winner."

"But I'm here to help you keep first place, so don't worry! We'll keep that 10,000,000!"

He smiled at me, "Alright! The problem is getting other people to join our team. Everyone is avoiding me like the Black Plague..."

I giggled, "Yeah, let's use our time wisely!"

"You can't use One For All without breaking your bones, so we can't rely on it for this. Having my speed on our side gives us a huge advantage. I can also make tracks to get us out of tricky situations if need be. We'll need someone who would be a good defense, and could deflect any oncoming attacks from other teams."

Midoriya nodded in agreement, then stopped and looked at me with wide eyes, "How do you know about One For All?!"

I froze, "Uh, I'm good friends with All Might, I'll explain the rest later. Don't worry about it right now!"

All of a sudden a girl with pink hair and brown goggles on her head jumped up next to us. "Hi! I'm Mei Hatsume can I be on your team?! I have several support equipment we could use! And you have the 10,000,000 which will surely get me a lot of attention!" I smiled at her straightforwardness, and shrugged at Midoriya. He nodded, "Yeah sure!"
