There were three long cafeteria tables all in a row to create one long one that was absolutely filled with food of all cultures, and there was a label for each dish and its origin. I went along the tables, looking at it all, and it all looked so delicious!
"I want to try everything, but I don't think I'll be able to!" I gushed as people were arriving to this Chingu-seok party, and long tables were out and decorated with tablecloths and dishes. Disposable, but still nice. Boy, I wanted to hug Kitty for starting this tradition of getting all us people together who have nowhere to go for the holiday. What a great idea!
"Hey, Addison, you look beautiful!"
I turned around and saw a couple American Caucasian girls from my Korean class that I became buddy-buddy with in the first class. They were a blonde and a ginger, respectfully.
"Thank you," I said and touched my long wavy blonde hair and looked down at my black skinny jeans and white sequined tank. "You girls look great, too. Make sure to sit by a couple of cute Korean guys." I winked.
"Oh, we will," said the ginger, whose name was Madison. "Well, mainly I will. I'm still trying to get over a certain someone."
"Min Ho," Tiffany, the blonde, informed me. "They dated last year for a few weeks."
My eyes widened. "Hold on, are we talking about Min Ho, Q's and Dae's friend Min Ho? You dated him?"
"Yeah, but he got the wrong idea. I just wanted something fun, but he wanted something more. He was such a playboy before that, but after dating me, he realized that he wanted someone serious. I guess he tried to have that with Kitty over winter break, but to no avail since she turned gay."
This was shocking news! I glanced over and saw the very guy come in with Q and Florian. "Min Ho wants something serious?"
"Yes," said Madison. "I think he's still looking. I have no idea if he's found a girl yet."
I always thought that Min Ho was a playboy since he flirted with me right off, but after knowing this, he seemed more endearing. The poor guy just wanted someone to love. Not chase, but love. He loved Kitty, but that didn't work out. He was on the hunt for someone else.
"Ooo... look, food from India," Tiffany gushed. "I love Indian food. We'll see you later, Addison."
"Yeah, see you."
They scampered off, and I spotted my friends and started to make my way over to them. Then... Alex walked in with Professor Lee, and Alex was holding his dish. I stopped and stared at him. He wore that suit ensemble again, and Lord... he looked steaming.
He caught my gaze, and my heart jumped. He stared at me for a moment as a smile emerged on his face. I returned the smile and started up to him and his father.
"Hello, gentleman," I greeted them.
"Miss Fletcher," Professor Lee greeted me back.
"It's great to see you, Addison," said Alex. "My, this is quite the party. Last year, maybe thirty people came, but with how popular it was, the school jumped on the opportunity to make it an actual school event."
My guy-friends suddenly went for the end of the long tables to where the drinks were placed, and they went fast. Professor Lee sighed. "That's why there needs to be faculty supervision."
"Just let them have a good time, Daniel," Alex coaxed. "They're just excited. Now, I'm going to put this somewhere along that long table."
"And I'm going to see what those boys are up to," I said.
"Good," said Professor Lee. "Keep them in line, Miss Fletcher. I trust that if there's any shenanigans, you'll let me know promptly."
"Yes, sir."
