Chapter 12

Yue's POV..

The carnival was just sooo much fun!!! I still can't believe that I enjoyed the carnival with Kai!! It still feels like a dream!

When we came out, Maira was looking into her phone only. I took it out of her hand asking "Did you come all this way here just to stick to your phone?"

She pouted and started chasing me to get her phone back "Give it back!"

As we were playing Tom and Jerry, Kiara started to walk away saying "I don't know these people."

We stopped with sweatdrop. "Where do you think you are going?" We asked together.

"You both seemed busy in your little game so I thought that I will just take my leave and do something useful." She replied.

"Yeah, go. I came all this way to meet you guys and you just don't even want to stay." Maira said dramatically and Kiara rolled her eyes "Whatever, I'm staying but if you do anything of the sort again, I'll just leave."

"Fine!" We both whined.

Kai was looking quietly at all this. But it was a bit different. Like he was observing Kiara as if he's seeing something new.

There's definitely something that I'm missing!

Later, we visited soo many places and had so much fun!!

Maira's POV

Yue told me about meeting Kai and that how he offered to assist her with her project and I was just soo happy to hear that!!

Though the real twist came when I was talking to Kiara about it. She was talking in mysteries and it caused me stomach ache. I just can't bear suspense!

So I just bugged her until she spilled the beans and told me about what was going on.

Really??! Kai has been talking to Yue since this long??! Wow!!!! Didn't think that he would hide it though. I mean he is not hesitant to do things and here he is unsure if he should tell her the truth or not?

I immediately told Kiara that I wanna come there and we planned everything! Even I wanna meet my brother in law!!

According to Kiara, Kai do have some feelings and I got so excited to hear this! My bestie is gonna have a boyfriend soon!

Yue's POV

Some days passed in visiting different places and the days were going so well!

Some days has passed and my birthday is coming! This time we all are together!!

In past few days, Kai has changed so much that it's even hard to believe. He is really a caring and nice person, no matter how hard he tried to hide his this side from people.

But everytime Kiara and Kai talk to each other, it's like they are refering to something else in particular. Their this sarcastic war just goes from above my head.

Maira loved it here and is not missing any chance to tease me about Kai. She and Kai are mostly getting in arguments these days over silly things.

Never knew that even Kai would get into arguments on things so minor.

I don't mind their arguments, they are actually a bit fun to watch sometimes but they become troublesome when they both make me the judge and ask me to decide who is right and who is wrong.

I need to ask Kiara for getting me out of there and even for that, I need to pursue her a lot!

Hehe but still it's really lively to be around them.

Just Kiara's friend is not that online. Ever since I told him about Kai being my crush, he has been busy.. it's like he's avoiding talking to me.

Or maybe he's really busy with that girl in his real life?

Urghh! Why am I thinking about this? I really overthink a lot sometimes.

I searched between my books to find my phone as I heard it ringing.

I finally found it between the books and saw the name on the screen.

Kai!

I first composed myself and answered the call.

"Hey" his voice came from the other side. He sounded so serious.

"Hey" I replied him, wondering if something happened.

"I wanted to tell you something." He said. It was kinda strange. Usually, he is a bit opened and loose when we talk but this time, he sounded tensed, nervous, anxious and so serious...

"Yea? What is it?" I asked, feeling a knot of nervousness twisting in my stomach.

Is something wrong?? Did something happen??

"I will tell you in person. Can we meet?" He asked, his voice softened a bit, like he wasn't so confident about what he was saying..

"O-okay.. but is everything okay?" I asked. I'm really getting worried now.. what is it..?

"Hn. Everything's okay, just I wanted to tell you something since a long time and I just don't want to delay it anymore." He said and I felt even more nervous.

"Where?" I asked, trying to sound calm and composed.

"Driver will be there in sometime to pick you." He told me and we hung up.

What's going on? He's giving me stress now.. what happened?

Soon the driver reached and I got into the car. He started to drive towards the destination.

I was looking out of the window, thinking about what can be the thing he wanted to talk about...

I am feeling so nervous and almost weak and giddy as my mind goes around, thinking about all the worst possible scenarios....
