Chapter 14

I was staring at the creature that was in front of me...

It was Dranzer... In its miniature form... I never thought I would be able to see a bitbeast...

"Hey..." He said nervously while shifting uncomfortably in air.

I didn't say anything but wiped my tears and tried to fix my look a bit, and then, gave him a questioning look.

"Canwepleasetalk??" He said in a single breath and I didn't understand anything.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"C-can.. we please talk?" He asked nervously and I nodded slowly.

He started "Umm.. I know that Kai wasn't right to hide that from you but... You see, he got to know about you being Yue sometime ago only.. and then soon after, you told him that you had a crush on Kai.. he wanted to tell you but he didn't, because it would have become awkward and embarrassing for you..."

"Think yourself..  would you have talked to him or even have faced him easily if he had told you that, at that time?" He asked.

"Yea... Right..." I agreed..

"Later, he grew unsure about telling you because he was confused by his feelings.. if he had told you, then he either would have returned your feelings or denied them.. but he was not sure himself about how he felt.. so he wanted some time.." he explained.

...

I... Don't know what to say...

"He usually had denied it straight without feeling guilty or bad about it but in your case, he was worried that he would hurt you.. so he wanted to sort out his feelings before telling you.." he continued.

He... Didn't want to hurt me...?

"You can even ask Kiara... She asked him to tell you but he was insecure for the first time.. so she let him deal with it his way.. she knew about his feelings.. but he was not admitting them.. so she let him have his time realise it.. he asked her not to tell you.. talk to them atleast.." he finished.

"Hm..." I nodded slightly.

He left after talking a bit more and telling me about Kai.. he is always with him.. so he know him well.

His thoughts, likes, dislikes, insecurities, fears and everything. He told me that during these part few days, Kai has been enjoying himself more than he ever did. I felt so happy to hear that.

Dranzer told me that how Kai was confused by his own feelings, which is a very rare thing for him. He is not puzzled by his emotions that easily. He told me that how always composed Kai has been unable to control over his emotions recently.

When he was telling me about Kai.. that smile again made its way on my lips.

I was not feeling that terrible feeling anymore.. I was a bit hurt for sure that he hid it from me but now I get his reasons too..

Then, Kiara called again and this time, I picked it up. She told me everything that how Kai was insecure about telling me about it.. and how incidentally, he had to talk to me for the first time..

Now I have understood that why they both used to feel like they know each other.. and what was the meaning of their sarcastic arguments.

After everything getting cleared, I thought to talk to Kai, but Kiara said that he had some urgent work so he had to leave.

She said that he busy himself with work when he wants to avoid something..

I sighed and laid on my bed.. things do change in a moment.. just this morning we were pranking each other... I smiled at the thought..

Flashback (No one's POV)

"Just a small scene! Can't you do this much?" Kai repeated frustrated.

"Nope!" Maira denied for the upteenth time while folding her arms to her chest.

Kiara was watching them bored.

"Fine, then do one thing! Just come there yourself with your hair down! It will have even better effect!" Kai mocked.

"Excuse me?! Do I look like a ghost to you?!" Maira glared at him.

"No you are scarier, I believe." He smirked.

"Fine! Now I will just tell her what you were planning!" Shd pouted.

"Stop being kids, will ya? Even kindergarten students are more matured than you both!" Kiara scolded them annoyed.

They both looked at each other and turned their backs at each other "Hmph!"

Kiara rolled her eyes at this and said "It's gonna be your responsibility."

Kai looked at her cluelessly "Huh?"

"That prank of yours will be yours responsibility." She repeated.

"Fine. It will be my responsibility. Now will you both so it?" He asked.

"Yeah yeah. You are gonna owe us though." Maira said.

Later, while watching movie, Kai signalled Maira and she nodded.

Right at the moment, a horrible looking ghost with bloody red eyes, pale face, messy long black hair appeared on the screen with a loud high pitched scream!

Yue immediately hugged Kai tightly and let out a scream at the sudden scene. Her eyes were tightly shut.

All started laughing and afterwards, they all were chased by Yue in the whole house. Later, Yue pranked them with the lunch she made. The dessert was salty while the spicy things has sugar in them along with spice.

End of Flashback

I guess I can't talk to him for now. I asked Kiara about when will he be back. She told me that she'll make sure that he comes on the day of my birthday.

My birthday! It totally slipped out of my mind! It's day after tomorrow!
