The gang returned their Pokemon to their PokeBalls, except for the few which traveled with them on foot, and soon continued on their way, entering a dense autumnal forest at the foot of the mountain.
"Ohhhh, it's beautiful!" Huck cried.
"Toki, toki, brrrreeee!" Togepi squealed.
"Vee!" Eevee cried.
But then, from the trees, a little orange bear came climbing down. When it saw the gang, it looked at them curiously.
"Teddi?"
"Well, what have we got here?" Augie said.
"I don't know, but it's so cute!" Huck replied.
Augie scanned the little bear with his Pokedex.
"Teddiursa: the Little Bear Pokemon. A normal type. Teddiursa tends to constantly lick its palms, which are often coated in honey from the trees it forages from."
The Teddiursa went over to Augie and looked at him.
"Teddiursa!" she cried.
"Hello to you too, Teddiursa!" the pup replied. "You're so cute!"
Skitty ran up to the little bear Pokemon and gave a friendly open-mouth smile. "Nya!" she cried.
Togepi once again started to wiggle in Huck's arms. "Toki, toki, brrrreee!"
"You wanna meet Teddiursa too, Togepi?" Huck chuckled as he placed Togepi on the ground.
The baby Pokemon wandered over to Teddiursa, and gave her a hug. "Toki, brrrreee!" she chirped.
"Looks like Togepi has made yet another friend!" Doggie Daddy chuckled.
Everyone laughed as they watched this cute little moment.
"Teddiursa looks a little shy though," Boo-Boo observed.
"Teddiursa," the little bear Pokemon said in a nervous tone.
Togepi smiled. "Breee! Toki! Toki!"
Pikachu came forward to say hello and gave a friendly smile. "Pi-pika!"
Teddiursa blinked, then slowly began to smile back. "Teddi! Teddiursa!"
"I think she likes you, Pikachu!" Augie giggled.
Pikachu blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Piiii-ka..."
Teddiursa then came over to Augie and smiled.
"Teddiursa!"
"What's that, Teddiursa? You wanna come with us?"
"Teddiursa!"
Skitty jumped up happily. "Nya!!"
"I think Skitty's happy to hear that too!" Jinks laughed.
"Alright, let's do this!" Augie cried as he threw a PokeBall at Teddiursa, sending her inside. It shook for a moment before letting out a golden gleam.
"Teddiursa has been registered to your Pokedex!"
"ALRIGHT!!!" Augie cheered.
"That's my boy!" Doggie Daddy chuckled.
"Wow!" Huck cried. "Augie's really on a roll!"
The gang made their way through the forest, when they heard a noise, like a cry for help.
"Wurmple! Wurmple!"
The gang turned to see a small red caterpillar Pokemon crawling as fast as it could to escape from a pack of larger Pokemon that resembled skunks.
"Oh my gosh!" TC cried. "Look at all those Stunky!"
"Peee-yew!" Yogi groaned, holding his nose. "No wonder they call em' that!"
Augie quickly scanned them.
"Stunky, the Skunk Pokémon. A dual dark and poison type. Stunky protects itself by spraying a foul-smelling liquid from its hindquarters, which can last as long as twenty-four hours."
"But what about that little caterpillar?" Huck asked. He scanned it with his Pokedex.
"Wurmple, the Worm Pokémon. A bug type. Wurmple live primarily off of sap from trees. The suction cups on its feet keep it from slipping."
Snag gasped. "Heavens to Murgatroyd! She's gonna get squished if we don't do something, quick!"
So he grabbed a PokeBall, and threw it at the Wurmple, sending her inside. It shook for a moment, then let out a golden gleam.
"Wurmple has been registered to your Pokedex!"
Snag didn't have time to celebrate, because the Stunky were closing in. He snatched Wurmple's PokeBall from the ground just before the skunk Pokemon could reach it. When they saw the gang, the Stunky angrily reared their tails with their fur fanning out as they stared them down.
"This doesn't look good!" Huck cried.
"We gotta get outta here before we become the stinkiest critters in the world!" Quick Draw exclaimed.
But then, Togepi started waving her arms back and forth.
"Uh, what is Togepi doing?" Yogi wondered.
"This is no time for a song and dance!" Jinks scolded.
"I don't think she's dancing," Augie commented.
TC shook his head. In fact, his head began to nod back and forth rhythmically and his words came out in a rhythm as he spoke. "I think this is Metronome, gang." he said.
Everyone's heads were bobbing back and forth in rhythm as Togepi continued to wave her tiny hands back and forth.
"What's gonna happen now?" Boo-Boo wondered.
"Who knows?" Huck replied. "But she's got a neat beat!"
"Anything could happen!" Augie cried. "Metronome is a move where a Pokemon can make anything happen...and I mean anything!"
But just as he said that, Togepi's little arms glowed, and just like that, she, Huck, Snag, Eevee, and Vulpix disappeared! The ground beneath the gang trembled, and the Stunky were all sent flying over the trees before they had a chance to attack.
"Where did they go?!" Augie cried out.
"Huck!! Snag!!" Quick Draw cried. "Where are you!?"
