Chapter 18: Bye-Bye, Beautifly!

As soon as the battles were over, the gang left the meetup, and decided to sit in the grass to relax. Huck offered them some cupcakes that he brought with them, and they all munched away on some of the yummy treats.

"You know, I think we deserve a treat like this!" Quick Draw beamed.

"Yeah, we've been working really hard, and I think we've earned it!" Doggie Daddy agreed.

TC nodded. "Yeah, those were some pretty exciting battles, you guys! Best entertainment I've seen in a long time!"

"Thanks!" Snag replied. "And these cupcakes are tasty, Huck!"

"Thanks, Snag!" Huck beamed. "I made them myself!" Then he took another bite out of his cupcake.

But while they were eating, a little fox-like Pokemon came up to them from the bushes nearby. "Fennekin?" it said as it looked curiously at the gang and sniffed the air.

Dedenne went over to the Pokemon, and looked at it curiously in return. "Denne?" she asked.

Eevee, Vulpix and Togepi all took notice as well.

"Vul?"

"Eee?"

"Toki?"

"What is it, you three?" Huck asked.

The gang turned around, and there stood the little Pokemon, staring at them curiously. "Fennekin?"

"Awwww, isn't that adorable?" Boo-Boo asked. "Dedenne just made friends with that adorable little fox!"

"Actually, it's a Fennekin!" Augie giggled.

"Wow!" Boo-Boo said, scanning it with his Pokedex.

"Fennekin: the Fire Fox Pokemon. A fire type. Fennekin expels hot air from its inner flame sac that can reach nearly 400 degrees. It has a large appetite and likes to snack on twigs, leaves and other forms of carbon-based material."

The Fennekin felt its little nose twitch, then let out a small sneeze, sending tiny flame particles into the air from its ears.

"Gesundheit!" Augie chuckled.

The gang laughed, finding it pretty funny. Boo-Boo then went up to the Fennekin, and started petting it. "Nice to meet you, Fennekin!" he said. "You're so cute!"

"Fennekin!"

Yogi laughed. "It's got a big appetite, huh? I suppose it wants a cupcake too?"

Fennekin started to smile, showing a cute little fang peeking under its upper lip as it wagged its tail happily. "Fennekin!"

"She sure does like the sound of that!" Huck laughed. Then he allowed Fennekin to have one of his cupcakes. "Here you go, Fennekin!"

Fennekin sniffed the cupcake, then took a bite from it. She chewed, swallowed and happily cried out, "Fennekin! Fenne!"

Eevee smiled and nodded. "Eee!"

"Heh, even Eevee agrees that Huck makes tasty desserts!" TC remarked with a chuckle.

"You sure like cupcakes, don't you?" Boo-Boo asked.

"Fenne!" Fennekin replied.

"I think you're just too adorable!" the small bear chuckled. "I sure would love to have you come along with us and join our gang! Would you like that too?"

Fennekin jumped happily. "Fennekin!!"

"I thin' she really likes you, Boo-Boo!" Quick Draw commented.

"Alright, here goes!" Boo-Boo cried as he threw a PokeBall, sending Fennekin inside. It hit the ground, and shook a few times before it stopped and let out a golden gleam.
